  1. As cool as the Ruined Scholar is in this chapter. I still hate him. Dude is cold as ice and shouldnโ€™t be trusted.

    1. Seeing how Hansoo's mentality has evolved since being in Raphdonia for several years, imagine how warped a child's mind would be after 20+ years there. He wants to go back, but I really wonder how the Ruin Scholar will fare in his original worldโ€ฆThen again, who knows if heโ€™ll even be able to go back or if Erwin will get her vengeance first

But Bjorn really missed an opportunity for not asking the witch the reason for him not to open the gate

  2. Wait wait wait wait waitโ€ฆ did I miss something or did I miss something? Did Bjorn just admit to being an evil spirit to the Ruin Scholar or did I misread that?

I meanโ€ฆ I get that they are having a candid conversation, and Bjorn did mention this warrants a bit of trust, butโ€ฆ this is a development I'd never have expected

Also, interesting philosophical conversation about fate, but I canโ€™t even pay attention to that, as my mind is still blown. Please let me know if I misread

    1. He knows of the stone and that Baek Ho believes he is the chosen one, so itโ€™s safe to assume that he already knew he was an evil spirit

    2. he technically never said anything about Being an evil spirit himself, Bjorn just asked about the Ruin scholar cause its known hes an evil spirit, and the ruin scholar likely DOES know that Bjorn is one as well, cause Baek Hoo, but likely doesnt care so doesnt mention it to others. But also. The Ruin Scholar was a child, sent into an older body, that must have been jarring. Also confirms for us one of the ways that other worlds had people sent here, Via reading a Book over and over again as now another Known method of transport to this world. I wonder if there could also be Runic carvings that depict the info of this world that if read over and over could send people in another world as well, or if there are Scrolls or other books and writings in other worlds taht send people here.

      1. He confirmed he's an evil spirit when he said he preferred this world over his own. He admitted he's from another world.

    3. Be real here though. This was likely an oversight as it wasn't really mentioned when it was revealed. The author is as checked out as I am reading the novel. It's just autopilot at this point. Bjorn didn't even acknowledge it as a big deal.

    4. @Blue I think Bjorn has come to terms with the fact that the Ruin Sage knows of his true existence via Baek ho and past encounters theyโ€™ve had irl and in the spirit world 20 years in the past. What I find interesting is I still donโ€™t think anyone knows heโ€™s Nuna, other than the GM speculation. Can you imagine how wild all the evil spirits will react when they learn heโ€™s the person that knows all character builds and best optimizations on the original version.

      1. I guess, it just took me by surprise that our usually super calculative and secretive Bjorn/Hansoo would so easily confirm that info without having any thoughts about the situation. Its very likely he felt he could gain more by admitting it and furthering the conversation to learn more (rather than playing dumb or denying it), but weโ€™re not privy to any of that internal dialogue.Iโ€™m sure Bjorn is less worried about his nature being exposed, as those who have the most power and influence in this world already know and maintain his secret, but still, itโ€™s hard to confirm without that internal dialogue were so used to.Ah well, letโ€™s find out whatโ€™s in the Dragon MountainsEdit: RE elfnuna, all the players would flip, but it would probably finally make sense to them all how Bjorn could advance and grow so quickly. Hed gain a bunch of new allies and new enemies. Heโ€™d also have less to bargain with Gavis and others, since theyโ€™d be certain that he is the one foretold in the record stones to open the gates and send them (those with him) home

    5. You missed the implication bjorn put forward that the ruin scholar recognised bjorn from when he gate crashed the community with auril gavis during the time travel Arc, the event where when invented the midnight club.We still don't know how people know bjorn is the guy fated to open the abyss gate, or why he'd want to.I think the record stone is bjorns laptop. This was a good chapter tho tbh

      1. I donโ€™t think thatโ€™s the connection, I'm pretty sure he would have found out from Baek Ho, since theyโ€™ve been travelling together since right before Baek Ho first found out Bjorn was a player. And Baek Ho had said he believed the name in the record stone refers to Bjorn/Hansoo. GM & Gavis were looking for the only player to beat the original game (elfnuna) and know that he is a barbarian due to the guides elfnuna posted back in the real world. The Witch and the gods know Bjorn's fate, so they know better than anyone

    6. Possible spoiler : I've already read some advanced chapter poorly translated and I'm rereading them on hen translation. So I'm not sure if what I'm about to say has already happened or not.โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆRegarding fate, Bjorn have (/will) find an object that show โ€œthe amount of fate" of someone. The more a person shines, the more exceptional their destiny is.It seems the Ruin scholar have something similarโ€ฆ
