Hello everyone. Has the reason behind the Marquisโ hatred toward evil spirits already been revealed? So far, he seems to hate them mainly to fulfill his duty as the Kingโs brother-in-law. But does he really need to go to war just to save his daughter?
Even choosing Bjorn as a possible second option to protect her feels a bit strange if he truly hates evil spirits.
Maybe the truth is that Auril Gavis and the King are actually behind the evil spirit possessions affecting random people (including his family), and thatโs why he tried to seek revenge or protect Ragna in case the King discovers his identity as a child of an evil spirit.
Hello ๐ Iโm pretty sure the Marquis hates evil spirits because theyโve taken away his hopes (from a loving son, to his beloved princess), not to any duty to the king. Also, I'm pretty sure Bjorn already knows the king's secret, since we do (village chief spilled the beans way back when). We're overdue for a meet up with village chief/saintred anyway
So the king does have the means to extend his life (besides Karuiโs Heart), and he needs an heir with royal blood to do something similar to possession, like his predecessor did. An actual tragedy. Now I get it, thanks. It also makes me think about the means they used for that, and why they didnโt just create something like a chimera with royal blood, or a โroyal heartโ (something like in Rainbow Island), so they wouldnโt need to rely on heirs. Maybe they lost that knowledgeโฆ
Soooooooo how does her existence cause problems? The king seems like heโd die without a second thought if his long time goal gets done. Is her existence also gonna call down lightening bolts? We donโt have enough information here and the exposition book ended
I think the lightning bolts might have something to do with the lifetime extension procedures. Ragna didnโt go through that, so she shouldnโt experience any of that danger. Rather, I think she would make for fodder/fuel, if it comes to that
