I bet Erwin pivots and fires on the chief and theyโre forced into a life-or-death situation.
I also wonder if the chief would leave an essence, and if that is possibly his means of escaping this basement level. Some sort of ultra-long-term scheme wherein literally everything was a setup for this, or this is his last-resort.
I was also wondering if Bjornโs intuition stat has always been ultra-high, but has just been overshadowed by the fact that he in-depth knowledge and analytical capability. Usually we have a firm logical foundation for his choices, but here it just felt โickyโ. His choice is reasonable, but it felt more instinctual than his usual borderline algorithmic pragmatism.
I think he was pretty clear in his reasoning – it didnโt make sense that the chief was willing to forego demanding any consequences after Bjorn's actions. Bjorn found it super fishy, and with his already distrustful nature and his history with trecherous individuals, he chose to not let the chief have his way. Plus the chief was being mad suspicious and hiding lies within truths. Bjorn has developed his BS-detector, lol
Do you guys think that there may be an essence with multiple active skills and that's why the chapters are titled rainbow? It's possible due to us knowing so little about the basement essence but maybe that's the large potential reward of this floor considering they don't get XP for the newly encountered monsters
Hmmm. Iโm not sure about that! Sounds neat though. I suspect we will wrap up this floor in the next ten chapters though. I bet it harkens to their exit, somehow. So much is happening in raphdonia Iโm sure. Iโm probably wrong though lol.
I think they did mention a rainbow or multicolored essence before somewhere, back when Bjorn was still hiding his identity. Donโt remember exactly when though
Lol love the absolute sass. โI just felt like itโ, โjust feeling a bit suffocatedโ, โthree's too short. Make it fourโ. This barbarian is my hero
Also, iโm psyched for the clash! Even though iโm sure it will be the first of several – especially with Erwin queuing up the nuke to escape. Hopefully we get to see some of chiefs abilities before the nuke goes off.
HeeeeLll yeah we back boys ๐ฅต

Itโs crazy how strong Bjorn already is with so much space to still grow, Iโm curious to see how things will scale around him
