I think I’d be interesting if each island represented a hero companion like the village chief. In this case, a pissed off ghostly wizard that has to pick after the inconsiderate library visitors.
What if the boss of the library is some librarian ghost who morphs together the stories of the monsters creating the hybrids and starts throwing them at the group as they get closer to the top 🤣
the sailor cried also imo cause he understood that with a lv 3 essence eaten he will be finally part of the team 100% and his past as plunderer was forgiven by our boy . now he can stop to be afraid .
Wait a spear with 1200% damage, does a 3x hit. So damage increase of 3600%. So one stab is worth 36 normal stabs? I'm sure he will use the test tubes to save anything for ainars replacement build. The ghost is most likely the one resetting the library.

Hmm could be. The Super giant always appears when you leave the island and the ghost might start to appear when you reach the higher books & face stronger monsters.
Don't worry I have no idea what happens after this chapter. All I did was guess on with the Information we have. Some people saw a “Ghost” so there are two options now:1. It’s not rlly a ghost and the Village Chief send someone to spy on them (or maybe some other power we don't know of yet)2. It’s a real ghost and it’s either responsible for managing the Library as a passive mob or it’s the islands final boss that might show up after a certain condition has been fulfilled (The condition does probably have something to do with the monsters in the books & the levels in the library).
They did say something about how all the books were put back on the shelf when they arrived back at the library this time. I just figured it as an area reset, but there could in fact be someone/something behind it…
but wait. If there IS an entity behind this area’s reset. Would that imply potentially more entities that work for resetting various other areas? Is there an entity somewhere that triggers the rainy season?
