  1. I always hoped he kept that vampire essence, he couldโ€™ve then brushed off brain damage.

  2. wait. why did none of us comment on this before. it says that they earned access to the FIRST record archives. How many more are there, where are they all, if the rewards are the pen and such as i predict for access to what is the first record archives, with it being that hidden space Hamsiki showed, what else might the other record archives hold? there would clearly be more golden trimmed books, or information that would probably tell us more of that story of the two siblings. And if we assume that each of the archives is a means to access some aspect of the Labyrinth, like how the library tower here is based around normal monsters. Then could the other archives focus on other specific classifications of Labyrinth stuff? Like is there an archive for Numbered items, Rift Bosses, Floor Lords, some other labyrinth aspects i cant think of? or am I totally off base and each archive is just some series of connected challenges. I guess we cant know until we encounter more of the Record Archives. Though i feel like theyโ€™ll end up somehow connected to the nature of the Labyrinth, especially given the theories that weโ€™ve talked about where the basement is some Backdoor or Dev space for the rest of the Labyrinth, so if each Record Archive then has something to do with those various aspects, and contains information or key items that will help get to the next record Archive, we may end up learning alot about those 2 Siblings, and the story contained within that book. Oh also, another aspect that it could be related to is Essences. There are already some funky hybrid essences on this floor, so could there potentially be even more secrets to be found in that regard? What if theres some record Archive that relates to how the Hybrid essences came about, and explains why theyre only in the basement! Gosh im just super curious how much these record archives will reveal over time as Bjorn finds more of them. Hell, maybe to access B2, you have to find all of the Record Archives and get the qualification access. Could be theres one record Archive per island in B1 honestly

    1. It might be like first-record archives, since the library books keep the first record of each monster (at least, the record of who named it first). I hope I am wrong though and there are more levels to discover!

      1. that is a very good point, and technically a viable way of looking at that phrasing yeah, but I do agree, hope its not that, and we get to see tons more secret in the potential rest of the record Archives

  3. Manโ€ฆ I knew the Tier 1 beasts were troubleโ€ฆ but this exceeded my expectationsโ€ฆ essentially almost every attack is a 1 hit tko for non-tankers. And this is supposedly the weakest of the Tier 1 monsters (at least of the ones available). I know the high dmg output offers the lack of durability, but it was still pretty frigging durable. It took several Tier

1 magic attacks, plus erwins ultimate combo, before it was able to go down. What a friggin beast

Also Bjorn has some star-level reflexes and reaction times, lol. Man is here countering with negative luck. Wonder if erwin was able to defeat him before there were any heavy casualties

    1. I don't think he was the easiest one. The only reason they could do him so โ€œeasyโ€ was because they had Bjorn. 1 Amazing Tanker with an indestructible Shield and a Taunt lv. Over 500 is Kashan his biggest Weakness ig. If a Monster famous for his High attack is not even able to kill his first enemy the Raid is gonna be harder for the monster(Ik some people still died but this would've always been the case ig.

      1. Weakest, not easiest. Kashan was the weakest in terms of defense/durability of all the Tier 1 options available, and he was still extremely durable. Thatโ€™s what had me in awe – that this guy was a high attack, low defense boss, but still took so much just to damage him.I stand by my previous posts about how I donโ€™t believe Tier 1s are being defeated in secret by explorers – I think that if a group invests enough into defeating one and succeed – that information will get shared one way or another. Either due to bragging rights/fame, honour, or gossip. Especially since the families of those lost in the raid will likely know the raid target. Considering how news travels in the explorer community, and how the info is known to Bjorn, the Mage Tower, and the Royals, having the last Tier 1 boss defeated decades ago, sounds about right to me.

  4. If bjorn was in it's jaw, there is a chance he accidentally absorbed the essence? If it dropped.

    1. They donโ€™t specify this in the story, but iโ€™ve always imagined an essence spawns in the center of where a creature's body was when it died – if thatโ€™s the case then it's unlikely (but not impossible). Then again, I hope not, because that would ruin his carefully crafted essence make-up. I donโ€™t think Kashan's essence would be a benefit to Bjorn

      1. it would be on brand for Bjorn though, absorbing an essence he doesnt want, its a level 1 essence, one of the most valuable things around, and since its not part of his Build, Bjorn would have no choice but to erase it, he would probably want to cry haha. With his luck, having to erase a level 1 essence would track, and be mildly funny but i dont think he got the essence personally

        1. Donโ€™t forget, Bjorn's bad luck is tempered by great opportunity (like the shaman said). If he can make it out of the bad situation, it can flip to a much more favorable situation. I donโ€™t think the universe would do him dirty like that (I hope). Universe, please give our boy Bjorn a break ๐Ÿ™

  5. Idk if Bjorn is gonna be the highest contributor this time; could be the mage that dealt the most dmg.

    1. i doubt it, the only time we see system messages in the novel has been in relation to Bjorn, and those are system messages at the end there from the formatting

  6. So it looks like Bjorn got some qualification here by being the highest contributor. So is this the proper way to get into Hamsikiโ€™s home area? does that mean that Bjorn technically Has earned the things he stole before now haha

  8. Ah no that damn -200 luck stat, for a moment I thought it was just a massive debuff but now wow, people getting caught in fire blasts, random beam slipping by our boi, and Bjorn tripping over rocks then get his head crack open, only good news is it wasnโ€™t a crunch attack after death sentence

  12. The Fight was entertaining. Itโ€™s surprising that they killed the Tier 1 Monster in one chapter tho. Have we heard of the First record Archive before? Feels similar?

Who is he gonna meet this time, the witch again? Or maybe the Great Sage this time?

I hate that this cliffhanger is over the weekend

    1. personally, i think this is the correct and normal way to access the area Hamsiki opened for them, and that the pen, the books, etc, were supposed to be the reward here, but Bjorn got in through a backdoor. Hamsiki directly mentioned that those things were for someone with the qualifications, and that he would know them when he saw it, so i mean, earned qualifications here in the library, theres someone talking about those also here, it seems pretty clear the two are connected

  13. A thought process I had after the last chapter. There is no way for Jerome to actually link Bjorn to the Iron Helmet (forgot his Nickname) 20 years ago in Noark without the use of some power to detect time travel or deeper knowledge of the Record Stones.Let's go through the Knowledge Jerome could have gathered without help:The record stone got stolen by a big guy hiding his face by an Iron Helmet. Most likely a Barbarian given his height. He got some information on him and found out that he suddenly appeared not long ago and became a big shot pretty quick so he most likely used to be a "normal" Explorer before. Tracing back the time from his first arrival in Noark and the "normal" explorers that went missing arround that time he would Most likely get some Barbarians as suspect with one of them being Bjorn his Dad that vanished (died) arround that time in the Labyrinth. So the reason he wanted Bjorn to try the Helm on might be to conform if he looks close enough to his Dad 20 years ago. And to finally get a name for the person stealing the record stone. As I said last chapter it would be impossible to assume Bjorn (who was 2 back then) would be the one wearing the helmet 20 years ago. But that would be boring for the story (especially because we & Bjorn know that his dad has died long ago). So Jerome does probably got some information from the royal family or maybe even Auril (I forgot the name of the creator of the game) that the record stone can enable time travel. Jerome his mission right now might actually be to safe Bjorn from the basement floor but it might change after realizing Bjorn stole the Record stone and defying the Royal family that way. This might lead to the main reason Jerome labels Bjorn as a Traitor and they start to fight.

    1. A mission he died on. Why would you not remember that? He knows what the fragments of record is, and why it was so important for him to retrieve it. Donโ€™t underestimate the royal family and what they can do. Bjorn made him fail his mission, and he wonโ€™t forget that. But it was 20 years ago. How good can his memory be? Like remembering a voice from 20 years ago is almost impossible. So yeah, he doesnt have alot to go on, just visuals. Maybe he cant 100% connect Bjorn to it. But even if itโ€™s 10% that might be enough for him. He is pretty clever as they pointed out several times. Very interesting.

      1. We don't know much about his character and past. I could imagine that this mission was the first time he ever failed and thatโ€™s why he got a grudge and good memory of the Iron Helmet. I am pretty sure it will be revealed and there is gonna be a conflict because of that. Why else would the author bring the Helmet back into the story + Bjorn had a bad feeling about that from the start. And we all know he is good at jinxing
