So for those of you debating on the whole Misha traitor storyline, I think this settles it. Baek-ho must have given her the stone so that she can use it if Bjorn ever dies, which she would in a heartbeat to make sure he stays with her. But what’s in it for Baek-ho? We know he needs Bjorn alive in order to fulfill his destiny of opening the gate of the abyss, but something feels fishy about just ensuring he’s alive. If that was the case, why the secrecy, and the coercion with Misha? There’s def more to the story, but I think this settles it in terms of Misha's intentions

If Bjorn is lucky, the Chief will be captured upon return in Saintreds body. If he isn’t, the other expedition knights will rat him out. Also Bjorn will know which expedition members he can trust now from seeing the future and which ones don’t favor him as strongly from seeing the future.
im still very curious what exactly the Chief and Saintred promised between each other that made Saintred even more willing to take this chance, he asked the cheif to hand “It” over afterall. So like we thought last chapter, its likely some item that the Chief found or got through a dimensional Collapse that the royal family lost, since we know that he appearred down here with nothing, unless that was another lie, which is still possible i guess. So it may just be something the Chief always had as well. But otherway, i hope we find out what It is next chapter

I didnt expect leatlas to not be able to stop time there though, fully thought she had frozen time for these visions, but tbh, its a little funny that a goddess who can look at the future and the past at will and their various paths, also cant pause time haha.

This only shows he doesn't know about Iblis's essence, so his plans will fall apart if he chooses this route.Clearly, what saintred wants it's something very important to the chief too, maybe that's a tool to proceed with the evil spirit ritual, so I don't think he's willing to part with it.

Either way, Bjorn has plausible deniability, but likely a better outcome if the chief wins.Also, if the chief wins, takes over saintred, and then dies, Bjorn will once again be the highest ranking member of the expedition… and we’ll be back to farming the basement 😈
yep. thats a point i was worried about seeing that line last chapter as well. especially given we dont know if another god could give Bjorn a “Blessing” in an attempt to harm Bjorn instead.
Doubt Karui would – he isn’t exactly evil – just chaotic as hell. Plus he toys with those that ask things of him, rather than random ppl in the world, so I doubt he would just chose to go after Bjorn
that doesnt mean that a person couldnt make a sacrifice to Karui, and in return, ask for a blessing to be put onto Bjorn, players likely know about the divine power stuff, at least a few of them, and same with some natives, so its not out of the realm of possibility that karui could be requested to give this blessing to bjorn, though this raises a new issue of, how does that other person know that Bjorn has gotten the blessing of Leatlas, cause yes, we saw the VC mention that Bjorn’s body emitted light, but how many people who are there know what that means? so it would become limited to those who know this event happened or who they could spread it to at that point, but given that Sven and other members of the Leatlas church are present, i could see some of them realizing what happened, and maybe most of them keep it secret, but theres almost always 1 rat in every group, and thats normally all thats needed. so we’ll see i guess, as time goes on

Plus, even if someone asked karui for something like that… i’d imagine that would cost their whole existence, and then some. Plus it’s most likely they’d ask to curse Bjorn than grant him holy blessings from Karui… can Karui even grant divine blessings? I feel like everything Karui grants always has a double edges sword rather than how the transition divine blessings operate.Also, i’m sure Leatlas’ followers would recognize her involvement with the light, but i’d expect that would be it, not knowledge of the specifics, or intensity of her involvement. yeah, i also agree its not likely, more just exploring possibilities and ways that things could go in universe, and i mean, i imagine every god can grant a blessing, from what we’ve been shown of Karui, he can basically do whatever you want, as long as you can pay the price for it, so logically, he could grant a blessing im sure if asked, but youre right that the price would likely be extremely high, though we have to also remember that the caster doesnt have to personally pay the sacrifice, back when the dragon slayer had the priest of karui with him when dwalki died, the Karui priest used the other person the dragon slayer brought as sacrifical material. so in theory, they could use others for the cost paid also. plus, even if its a curse, if its made with the divine power of a god, would the effect on the body differ? the wording of that line seemed to imply it was just an effect of too much exposure to divine power for a mortal body, so couldnt the curse made of karui’s divine power still have a similar effect? and as for people realizing, if theres a chance that a human can become oversaturated from exposure to the divine power of a god, then even if the natives dont know the specifics, they may know that, if god contacts a mortal too much, or grants them too much directly, their body is broken down, for example, maybe a past saint, or someone, could have had it happen from too many visions, and if no natives know, which is very possible still, then could any of the cheat players know? im sure at least a few of them explored the religion side of things in game, so some of them may know about the potential risk of overexposure to the divine power of the gods, and hell, all of this may never matter haha, still fun to consider

It has already been revealed by the CHANCELLOR himself that supposedly Bjorn was on a secret mission infiltrating. He could just use that same excuse. Ask Saintred if he thinks the Chancellor or Minister (wtever) would allow a traitor to become a noble and prepare a celebration for him, even meeting in person. Makes no sense and Saintred would have no way to refute.

once you are able to retain alot of the lore, alot of the pieces tend to start falling into place, ive been wrong several times but i love when authors actually give proper clues and things that lead us as readers down the path to figuring out what will happen. and in stories like this that heavily use logical reasoning, i just have alot more fun with it haha, i tend to end up guessing things in stories before they happen a lot, pattern recognition and all that, and if you just try and consider all outcomes or choices that are in a given situation, and then eliminate the ones that seem outright wrong for the story or character, you can tend to guess an outline of most events in a story, though sometimes authors throw you something new too! and make me have to consider more options

If he ran, he’d immediately be at odds with the royal family due to Saintred's claims – or at least be subject to pursuit by Saintred and co. Plus, He knows the escape route from the basement is on that island somewhere, so he’d always have to go back there, or stay I the basement forever. This is probably the best outcome tbh…

I think maybe also Bjorn will need resurection stone in the future, since it is mentioned that it's so ridiculuosly hard to aquire that he only managed to get it once during playing the game and he maybe won’t be able get it before the time he will need it or something like that. Btw I hope that after this arc in near we will get some fights with Noark bastards in the labirinth, maybe some revenge on corpse collector, or overall fight with some Orecules members. we also dont know the exact mechanics behind how the stone works, and until we are told those, we cant fully understand the best timing, since it really seems like theres some implied trap, or condition, or something else that the stone does, and could potentially cause new issues. Personally i think it may be effective only on natives, since thats a condition that couldnt have been known in the base game, given theres no evil spirits, and would mean that any attempt to use on someone who is a spirit could bring the wrong person back instead. So if that was the case, it being required to bring back someone native to this world, who may also have an important role to play in the future, rather than Bjorn, or fuck, maybe theres a world in which, Bjorn finds some way to target the original soul of Bjorn Jandel and somehow revive him and still survive himself, or something weird like taht one day
Yep, I said something similar before, we really know nothing about this stone, and just imagine something, Baekho said he also had ‘alternative’ plans and we all know he was talking about Misha that time… What if Baekho knows the stone can't bring back evil spirits, and wanted Misha to use it on Bjorn. How, you may ask? Well, I believe he wanted Misha to reveal to Bjorn she has the stone, so he can include it in his future plans, and then use it, and truly die. Well, that's all speculation, but reading your comment, I just thought about it, since that will be one way of getting rid of Bjorn.
I’m kind of doubting the theory that the stone only brings back natives, for one reason and one reason only – baek-ho needs Bjorn – the Lee hansoo version of Bjorn. He’s the one who completed the game without cheats and he’s the only reason Bjorn was able to advance so well in the world of Raphdonia. I don’t think Baek-ho would want to get rid of Lee Hansoo – rather, he’d want to control Lee Hansoo for his own means.Maybe he wants to later cash in a debt repaid? “I saved your life, so do me a favor” kinda thing? Seems a little shallow, but not impossible. That or maybe the cash in would be with Misha – “I helped you save your man, so now do me a solid”. A bit more plausible, but still somewhat shallow too… Baek-ho is a crafty guy, so there must be some deep-seated reason or plan behind this all.

The fact that Bjorn told him about Iblis’s essence means he wants the chief to die immediately to escape this place. And since that essence has only 3 uses, and we know it was used once before (and it may have been used some other time too), he will be more vulnerable to be killed in the future. So… somehow I get the feeling he wants to kill him at some point in the future.Otherwise he could just tell him to overcome this floor together too. Though right now, he has to make sure the chief will accept his deal, so he can avoid death.
Nah, the fact that he's telling this is strategically correct exactly because he wants to buy some points for himself in letting Village Chief out immediately and fulfilling his part of the deal impromptu. This would surely make VC be less prone on having Bjorn's body and so, knowing that his sole goal is the escape, he would be more likely to agree with Bjorn's plan and potentially lower the number of people, who know or suspect Bjorn's involvement in the events that happened 20 years ago.
