  1. so bit of a unrelated tangent, but, i was looking back at some early chapters, and in Chapter 93, theres mention of the Community giving players ranks and exp for transactions, and I just realized that thread and idea was Fully Dropped lol. We havent seen a single mention of that literally since it first happened i dont think. I doubt it would suddenly come back, but the addition of exp and ranks in the community could have been an interesting idea if it was played with more. in that Chapter, Bjorn went from Rank: Deadman -> Rank: Goblin after getting +10 exp. Im looking back at older chapters cause i wanted to check something on the blessing of lethe, and found that instead haha

    1. Well, found the first mention of Blessing of Lethe, Chapter 84, and its just described as โ€œIt was dark and lumpy, resembling cat food that had been regurgitated.โ€ whereas, in the manga, its depicted as a curled up, black, maggot. So i was curious if that was consistent in teh novel too, cause i feel like, if it was truly a black maggot like creature that could erase the memories, that seems less like a drug, and more like a magic item or thing. I could see it as being somehow connected to Karui or something, cause all we know about the production method is that its done by some Alchemist in Noark, not how they do it, or what means they use. And the fact it doesnt work on evil spirits seems weird and intentional almost, like a build in design flaw, maybe cause the maker was an evil spirit themselves? I need to go and reread some of the record fragment arc as well, as i remember there being more info on the Blessing of Lethe there as well. Anyways Im not sure what any of this means, if anything. This is all fully unrelated to the events going on now, just was having some thoughts, and figured id share them.

    2. I wonder if it was not mentioned since Bjorn tried to anonymize himself after deleting all his public activity. After that, it wouldn't be relevant to him, since he wouldnโ€™t be ranking up, though it would still be an interesting mention if it was ever brought up againโ€ฆ like making GM and SoulQueens initially overlook him since heโ€™s โ€œlow levelโ€

    3. Also I often find myself going back to old chapters for things and recording lore and events I come across. Iโ€™ve always played with the idea of creating a wiki to store all the info, characters, and story beads – though, tbh, the effort never met my enthusiasm. Also, there are other wikis out there, though I find they are either missing too much info, or contain spoilers that I donโ€™t want to seeOn the topic of the blessing of lethe, interesting find – I didnโ€™t catch that difference between the novel and the webcomic. I guess the artist(s) took a bit of creative liberty ๐Ÿ˜›

      1. yeah, i didnt remember it being described that way in the novel, but i wasnt sure i was remembering right, so wanted to check, and maybe its cause it was in the sewers and dark, so Bjorn couldnt tell properly and he also does tend to simplify descriptions a bit, which is why i do wanna check the record fragment arc also, as it may contain more info, on the off chance its described again and is different the second time, but seems like the artist took a bit of liberty yeah, interesting direction to take it ngl. and yeah, making a wiki is difficult. so i dont blame you for not

      2. also another side note with the manga, chapter 106, depicts the resurrections stone, and ngl, its just drawn as a normal rock that has some gold sigils on it and a small blue gem in the center, its actually just a river stone looking rock, it looks kind of plain ngl

        1. Yeah youโ€™re right, itโ€™s just a simple rock with holy-like sigil lol. Then again, a bunch of things in Dungeon and Stone are more than what they first appear to be, if we want to play into that logic. Then again, itโ€™s probably the artists taking a literal spin on the description: โ€œstone of ressurectionโ€

  2. I don't get entirely why he is so mad about the resurrection stone. If it is used on him, then he would have died anyway. Even if he loses his memory, it is still better than being deadโ€ฆ right?

    2. according to what Lee Baek Hoo said, since bjorn is destined to one day open the abyss gate according to the Records, and since death is negated if the Stone is used. Then by having the stone near by, it allows an increased chance for destiny and fateโ€™s path to warp and twist, and kill this version of Bjorn, and revive him without his memories, Whereas, if the stone isnt there, the chance of Bjorn dying is almost for sure going to be zero, since he must survive to open the Gate one day. Basically, without the Stone, Bjornโ€™s Plot armor is solid, cant be broken, and no matter what, he has a high chance of him personally surviving whatever is going on. With the stone, his plot armor has holes, it can be broken, cause he CAN die and still fulfil his destiny and preordained fate of opening the gate is hes revived.

      1. That makes a lot of sense. But if he is destined to open the abbys gate, then he is basically immortal? Knowing the future and all that means he can do whatever and still reach that future as it cannot be changed, right?

        Reply
        1. no he isnt immortal, thats the key thing we know from the record fragment arc, as long as history is perceived as going correctly and as foretold, it works, so like, bjorn could open it under duress, or he could open it after losing all his memories and he isnโ€™t him anymore. Hell, its possible that somehow the original Bjorn Jandel comes back and fulfils the destiny, cause the Preordained fate has to do with not personality, or memories, or who a person is, but their physical body in my opinion, so as long as its Bjornโ€™ physical form that opens the gate one day, then anything else is possible, like a body swap, or some such. Plus the record stone isnt fully detailed from what weโ€™ve been told, its an outline of events, and the outline is the only thing that must remain true. Its like Doctor Who and fixed points in time almost. The events talked about in the record stone are Fixed points, they WILL happen, however, how you get there, the order of operations, can and likely will change. Which is why Leatlas told Bjorn about the execution and why he was able to avoid it. She said it wasnt Recorded yet. Implying that the future Bjorn and Sven saw was not a fixed point, and could be changed. All we know from the Abyss gate stuff is that, Bjorn, or his body, will be the one to open the gate one day. The context behind it, if there are any other changes that happened before opening, etc, are all fully unknown, and given theres the resurrection stone as one means to bypass death, and also the body swaps, there seems to be many ways that our Bjorn could end up Not being the one to open the Gate, and instead, is some other Version of Bjorn, whether someone else controls him, or the original comes back, or all his memories are gone, or even something else potentially, we truly dont know. Not to mention, even if Bjorn himself is for sure going to live in some form or fashion, that doesnt mean he isnt crippled for example, and also, it doesnt mean any of his friends and comrades are alive. So its entirely possible that Only Bjorn survives to that point. Theres still great risk in all encounters and combat, just that Bjorn himself will somehow live, but that doesnt mean Heโ€™ll want to live if all his friends die and he cant as he must remain for the opening of the gate

  3. also bjorn is making his own problems with aynar all he has to do is tell aynar he a evil spirit and not to hunt them anymore because if anyone remembers her only reason for killing evil spirits is because that what the chief said to do also im pretty sure she already knows and is pretending not to know

    1. Imagine a family members of yours, being taken over by a random entity. Completely erasing the person you once knew and loved. Replacing it with someone who view everyone as NPCs. You need to understand the concept that no one wants that. Sure none of the evil spirits wanted to come there, but the people who got replaced did not want that either.

      1. and tbh, of the people who know Bjorn is one, theres a key commonality, all of them didnt know the original Bjorn Jandel, but Aynar, i actually think, may have known Bjorn, not closely, but they both grew up in the barbarian community, and aynar mentioned the childhood training all barbarians do, so its not out of the realm of possibility that she knew the original somewhat. Also im still half convinced that Aynar knows about Bjorn, heard him say hes an evil spirit during the labyrinth dreadfear event, but also felt his intense desire to help her, as he carried her to try and save her. Combined with everything bjorn has done for Aynar, i think shes just come to the conclusion that, no matter who or what Bjorn may have once been, who he is now, is a true comrade for her. Someone who truly wants to raise her and the barbarians up. I could very easily be wrong, but i hope she does know, and just says nothing as she waits for the day Bjorn does share it again

    1. where are you getting that Auril gavis cant shut it down? there has never been any mention that he cant, so im not sure what made you draw that conclusion. If anything there has been much the opposite implied, that he has full control over the community beyond what the GM does.

        1. i mean, not owning it doesnt mean he cant turn it off, he says he controls it, plus we dont know how much of that was a lie before the gem was made, nor how much he could control the gem as its maker as well. none of that implies he cant shut it down.

          1. ag cant shut it down he had control over it because he was the admin at the time but at the end all he did was give controls over and kick everyone out of it before giving it to the current gm so my guess is the most the new gm will be able to do is the same thing also ag does not have that much control of the gem or the ghost busters because when he hacked his way back in the current gm booted em out again also ag was using the same tricks the bjorn was doing with the gem even as its maker it does what it meant to do thats one of the main reasons bjorn does not trust ag at all because if the gem didnt work on him why would he make himself look like a awful person just does not make sense

          2. as ive mentioned in other comments, we dont know how much of that was the truth, youre taking alot of stuff at face value when it came from a source we have had lie to us before. If Gavis can transfer authority, he can potentially reclaim it and as a person who literally created an item from authority, he likely knows exactly how to reverse that process as well, and not to mention, i also consider in other comments that the authority was stolen by someone else besides Gavis, him just having been an admin is up in the air also, cause tbh that felt like a truth that was not the whole truth. and we really just dont have alot of info that guarantees almost anything on this matter, im not saying its for sure that he can shut it down, but also, there is absolutely nothing that for sure says he cant shut it down. In my opinion, both are equally likely, cause everything with gavis is shady, and he tends to mislead and allow people to reach their own conclusions with him giving minimal actual confirmed information.
            0
          3. and your right thats why i said my guess lol

          4. as for him making himself look bad, thats one of the easiest ways to make people trust you, by saying something negative about yourself, and painting it as if youre being gracious by revealing such things, like, thats a manipulation tactic. And for him coming back during the previous round table, and being rejected, that could have been the truth, or it could have been an act by gavis, for him specifically, he has cross dimensional magic, he is a genius mage who gave noark direct access to the labyrinth from outside, like the guy knows an insane amount, him being able to fake being kicked out is entirely as possible as him actually being kicked out. I think youre underestimating the lengths he can and will go to
            0
          5. but didnt the current gm say he kicked him out once he found the loop hole he was using and thats also how the queen got into the round table to begin with and what your talking about making himself look bad on purpose your telling me he would purposely let bjorn know he dont give a fuck about all the humans he brought into that world and posses people bodies that just does not make much sense but if that his master plan lmao then he got me good
            0
          6. i mean, what better way to convince someone that everything you say after that is true than seemingly revealing something really bad, also, i dont think Bjorn was even overly surprised by that, No human person who is okay with ripping people away from their world, merely because they play a game, would ever truly care about those people, theyre clearly a means to an end. they will die, and there is little that gavis cares to do about that. He rips people not from one world, but multiple also like, no one who is willing to do that, cares about those people. so him saying as such openly, is not even a stretch of the imagination as well. its just simple logic if you think of it like that
            0
  5. I know this is beyond a lot of you but Baek-Ho made an appeal to hypocrisy. Just because Bjorn does bad thing does not mean Misha doing bad thing is any better. Someone that smokes for instance, can tell kids not to smoke cigarettes. I know logic is beyond most of you simps anyway but I figured Iโ€™d mention it for those that can still think critically.

Personally, I think this is a great time to push the myth of Lion Mask a bit more. This is a great time to begin to challenge the royal family. He just needs to make it public that he'll start killing allies of theirs, like Saintred who we know is about to die anyway, until they leave the society alone. Once it becomes known that Saintred died another time, others that want the community back or that have beef with the royal family will also target them. It would be a total waste to let the chief die like that without getting anything else of benefit.

I canโ€™t see the motive for the Royals, and I remember that GM loves the community. Unless there was infiltration. My money is now on one of the Founders, whether that be Auril or one of the other mystery guys.

  8. seems like Bjorn is thinking similar to most of us on who caused the community to shut down, IE, the royal family, and tbh, the fact that bjorn is thinking so, makes me almost question if its going to be the other option instead, and somehow connect to gavis or one of the Founders that some people mentioned may exist in last chapters comments. like, the royal family seems like such a clear cause and perpetrator, that it makes me doubt if it was truly them now that Bjorn also says he thinks theyre the most obvious option. Cause rarely does this story stick to the obvious stuff

    1. i mean, it may be considered priceless tbh, from what we can tell from the round table meetings, most people dont think it even exists, so if one suddenly showed up, they could probably ask for literally any amount of money they want, (or the royals may just take it), claim ignorace of the side effects once the buyer uses it eventually, and profit

    2. I would absolutely love if Bjorn sold it for a boat load of money and bought gear or an essence with it rather than the author having to random luck drop him the rest of his grad stuff, but Bjorn is far too obsessed with his companions he would never give up an item that could bring one of them back in a worst case scenario

  12. So Bjorn intends on killing Baek-ho aka helping him escape from this world. I have a feeling that even if he does kill him he will have an essence similar to Saintred. Afterwards he will respect him for trying or expose him as an evil spirit.

Soul Queen is going to experience some blood lust for the first time. Bjorn didnโ€™t use it against Baek-ho. Wonder if the others will join in lol.

I bet Gavis will be at this round table meeting.

So then Lee Baek Hoo, who wanted to return to Korea, who wished so strongly to escape home, has left the world forever, the memories gone, destroyed, and all that remains, is the Shell of who Baek hoo was.

        1. we have no confirmation of anything happening on a playerโ€™s death, they could just die, they could get sent back, they could get sent elsewhere, we got nothing on that matter, but also yeah. it wuld be a cold as ice way to deal with Baek Hoo, especially if Bjorn then turned around and used him instead, cause it sounded like essences were retained, and other powers and we do know that Baek Hoo IS powerful, hes feared as the strongest evil spirit by some from what weโ€™ve been told. we know there are people stronger of course, but he would be a valuable asset. Or maybe Bjorn does something else thats technically kind and forgiving, but also would break the original Baek Hoo more than anything if he were to see it come to that. Which would be to allow the Baek hoo without his memories to live happily in this world. To build a life anew. The one thing that Baek Hoo could never allow himself to do while he has his memories, trusting others, and building a family. If bjorn did that, it would be extremely poetic. and the original Baek Hoo would be turning over in whatever afterlife his memories may remain in, as he rages and screams as his body remains behind, unknowing of his original home or his once insane desire to return

          1. Yeah, and let's be honest, in this world, there's nothing free. Every phenomenon has its price. Karui just makes it more obvious. So, let's say you as a evil spirit die, then what do you have to offer for crossing dimensions to your specific world, and then, potentially, have your old body re-created. Just saying it like that makes it obvious the price would be enormousโ€ฆSo as much as I would want them to return to their original world after dying, I myself find it not possible for now. Only relying in the things we know for now.
