When Bjorn got the misplaced trust it only had one charge left and he had to refill it using a different special item, did we just abandon the concept of charges on the item? Is the charge that big, or have they been charging it without telling us?
I’m pretty sure that is a new one. Like the narration said, he got that one from the village chief. That’s the Misaligned Trust the royal expedition force most likely brought with them
no he specifically mentioned going to the Chief for it, and there was also specific mention when he used his own before that it ran out of charges, that implies this one is from the Chief and the Expedition’s supplies, which makes sense that a royal expedition would have one of those on hand just in case
He actually used the misplaced trust… I had a feeling that would have been the only way he could be sure there was nothing else… just glad he’s finally approaching the conversation and not avoiding confrontation like a plague. He’s trying to protect himself from more hurt, but being in that limbo state was helping nobody, least of all him. Glad Amelia has his best interests and gives amazing advice, she really is the big sister in the group. After “losing” her big sis, she really assumed the role for everyone else.
Now question is… are they just going to talk about the Baek-ho deal, or will either of them use this opportunity to finally be honest about how they feel about each other. If I was Amelia, I’d stealth-spy on them just so I could call out Bjorn in case he chickens out, but that kinda seems out of character for her – she’d likely wait for an update from Bjorn, or just read it on his face, and Misha's, later
If they talk about Feelings, you just know that Erwin is going to end up eavesdropping on them. And end up hearing Bjorn say something out of context or some such, that makes her panic and get a lil Yandere again
Jesus, he was about to avoid the confrontation again but Amelia forced him to confront her. How can someone so cool, be such a loser when it comes to women?
At this point, I hope Amelia finds love. Maybe not with Bjorn, but she really deserves it, she’s by far my favorite character in the novel, behind Bjorn.
Having someone you can be that candid with, without uncatered judgement, someone that knows you, wants the best for you, and is always willing to set you back on your path – that’s a true one right there
like we thought, Amelia is the one truly closest to Friendship with Bjorn, but even now, he doesnt call his relationship with Misha and the others Friendship, Bjorn is specifically calling them Comrades still. Even as he opens up more and more to Amelia, and cant bring himself to not trust her, he still cant just admit that he cares about her as more than just a Comrade, but as a true Friend
I actually think he really does trust Amelia, that’s why he’s able to open up to her this much. Though it’s mostly due to circumstance. She knows he’s an evil spirit, and doesn’t care, she is insightful enough to see through his bull, she helps him solve problems, and she leave things alone when she feels it’s not the right time. She also doesn’t put him in any “questionable” circumstances, and he doesn’t question her sanity.I think his relationship with Erwin woukd have been different if he didn’t write her off due to the obsession Stat. Also his relationship with Misha has been strained from time due to her initial rejection of him. Even though she had her reasons, i’m sure it took a blow on him and he ended up moving similar to clown, brushing it off like its nothing and asserting it as his own will. Tbh, even if Misha confesses to him, it prob won’t change the hurt that Bjorn felt after the rejection. Bjorn still has some character development to go through, imo
oh i agree, I think Bjorn is treating her like a true Friend, but he just cant admit it, he cant admit to himself that he truly considers Amelia a Friend, still calling them Comrades, for Misha, erwin, and everyone else, He has built this Wall around himself, and only sees things through a lense of Survival and give and take in some ways and only just now has started to actually admit the wall is there, but has still not admitted to himself that he needs to take it down, hence him sticking to the use of Comrades, and even as he has these deeper relationships form with others, Bjorn cant admit thats what happening to himself, and is almost in slight denial about it, and here, Amelia is helping push back against that, in a rather direct way, trying to work with his own Direct personality, like she calls out, this is who he is, and he has to work with it in ways that allow everyone, including himself, to move forward
