    1. I canโ€™t see a universe where Bjorn and Gavis become allies, but that would be the biggest twist in the book if thatโ€™s in the cards.Maybe a temporary alliance like they had during the time travel arc to save Amelia's sister, but I feel like too much trust has been lost b/w them since then for that to really workIf anything Bjorn would be madman enough to face both of them if forced to

  3. So does Bjorn have access to the passage because he A) is an evil spirit, B) cleared the original game, C) unlocked the basement, D) got the items from hamsiki, or E) he is the man of prophecy (record stone)?

If A, then any other evil spirit in their group can enter or if its C, then perhaps Erwin/Aynar/Versil could also enter. Any other option and it would be only Bjorn.

Also if its A, it could be a route to expose Bjorn, if anyone figures it out.

Lastly, I guess the inclusion of Dragonkin features in the Dopplers means theyโ€™re not special like the Barbarians. I really thought there might have been something there due to their mysterious nature, long life, and special powers (Dragon speech, wielding arc metal, spatial magic).

    1. i took the access as being related to the Record Archives, since theres the line [First-level record access privilege confirmed.] and we know that at the end of the new Basement Rift, theres the line about a Record being Fulfilled. if theres a record to be fulfilled at each archive, and each Record, once fulfilled, raises your level of Record Access Priviledge, by 1 degree, then theses lines all make sense, since we know that Hamsiki stated that Bjorn got qualifications at the Library tower, but there was never a system prompt at that Archive about a Record being fulfilled, like there was at the Rift Archive. But i do agree there is likely another condition beyond that which he has fulfilled, given that, if that was the case, then the mage who entered with Him, and Erwin, would also be able to join Bjorn on entry, but last chapter, theres the dialogue between misha and Bjorn where they say โ€œ โ€œThat kidโ€ฆ why did you leave her behind?โ€โ€œYou mean Erwin?โ€ โ€œMeaning Erwin isnt here, and while not mentioned who all it was, we Do know that not everyone joined them, thus, its possible that the Mage who entered the Rift with them could also join Bjorn in there, but, like erwin, he may not be present, leaving the only one who was there for when the Record was fulfilled, being Bjorn. So we cant leave out that possibily as well

      1. That possibility is true too. Hopefully it gets explored at some point, so weโ€™re not left hanging trying to figure out the why ๐Ÿ˜‹

  4. Wait wait waitโ€ฆ what if a certain insane barbarian were to wear number??? Crown of torment in presence of the king?! Would it neutralize the controlling effect, it would stop any interferencefrom the church given divine power immunity. Royal family with their records might know if itโ€™s existence and further needed Bjorn killed given his record of clearing rifts, hence sending in Saint-redโ€ฆ.

    1. You might have just stumbled upon a deeply coveted secretโ€ฆ and if itโ€™s true, Bjorn (and Raven) have the only means to defy the king.Youre right, itโ€™s a good thing Bjorn kept this a secret from everyone else. If the royal family learns of this, a more serious assassination attempt will be plotted.

  5. wait im confusion are the barbarians the og humans and the other races come from them with this homunculus technology being used or are the normal humans that can use all the type of energy the homunculus ones ?

    1. there were humans originally in the empire only, according to Mr Vampire, and we dont currently know if barbarians also existed back then or are also a product of alchemy, at the very least, from what we know, normal humans in Raphdonia can use mana, divine power, normal soul power for essences, and though rare, it was mentioned that they could use spirit power in rare circumstances, The theory goes, as of now, that only humans existed in the time of the Empire, and through some form of Alchemy, the Barbarians were potentially created from humans, with their hearts being modified and creating barbarians from a human base, who as i mentioned last chapter, are seemingly a direct human upgrade, and then they(The barbarians) are used as the base for the rest of the races we see now in Raphdonia, with these homunculi seemingly being the rejects, the failed products, those that didnt make the cut, etc. The homunculi, or Dopplers, as Bjorn calls them, are not mentioned as having used any abilities, so we can assume that, even if they can handle those powers, they likely dont have the intelligence to do so, since Bjorn mentioned they dont even have language. The Other option in this theory is, of course, that Barbarians existed in the Empire, in small isolated pockets, and they were used for their hearts as a component to modify humans to then create the other races, or that the Barbarians ARE from a parallel world, like Bjornโ€™s original thought. These are just theories for now, BUT we do know for sure that Raphdonian Humans do have the potential to use all energy types, but they are restricted to which ones, depending on what is chosen. Since we know using magic makes you unable to use soul power and Divine power and aura, and while not stated, id also assume it prevents the use of spirit power, and that Aura can be used with soul power, but not divine power and so on. Humans DO have the potential for all energies, but no one has the ability to use all of them at once, unless these Dopplers are hiding a secret we do not yet know of course.

      1. Interestingly enough, humans canโ€™t use soul engravings because they donโ€™t have the barbarian soul – I remembered Bjorn mentioning this during his time travel arc.I love that we are starting to properly unravel the mystery of the races. Hopefully weโ€™ll eventually unravel the mystery behind evil spirits sometime too

        1. which means that the engravings could also be tied to the Heart, and whatever power it imbues into the body of the Barbarian, also allows for the soul engraving to exist. So if theres a way to use the heart of a Barbarian externally, maybe mages could make items that impart the same effects as the Engravings

  7. well fuck, so all the persursor races have a barbarian heart. so that further seems to reinforce the idea that the barbarians are somehow being used as a base, and really really makes me think that my idea that the other races also have unique hearts/organs more viable, and potentially kept such rumors and info hidden

    1. It also poses the question, where do the original barbarian hearts come from? Barbarians? Were they fabricated somehow (alchemy)? Were they extracted from some other non-barbarian source? That and what gives the barbarian heart its virility? Maybe we'll find out next chap with the tubes

      1. i mean, maybe Aynarโ€™s comments on the Barbarians living and becoming the origin for the rest are in some ways very literal. If the hearts were created with alchemy originally, maybe the means to create new Barbarians was difficult, so they only made a small group, enough to form bonds and connections, and more importantly, enough to create a new generation. Since weโ€™ve seen that Barbarians can only reproduce with other Barbarians, and otherwise it defaults to the other races, That is likely tied to why all Barbarians have the heart, If 2 beings possessing the hearts have a kid, their own kid will have the heart also. This could also explain the Dopplers we see down here, if they all have hearts, and dont disappear on death, then maybe they have bred and survived down here in similar manner to the Barbarians. and if the creator wanted to ensure that they would have a steady supply of hearts, implanting a desire to breed with their own kind makes sense, it drives them to grow, reproduce with other barbarians, and create new materials, IE, the hearts, to do something else. Omg this is why the barbarians are the way they are, they were a Material livestock, they have the potential to be smart sure, but they dont have the culture, why would you teach those you use as materials and livestock, they lived simplistic lives, and are used for their bodies, and then, likely, harvested when the original person who did all this needed some more hearts. Since weโ€™ve seen that there is no cost to produce them from normal birth cause barbarians exist at all. All they needed was to create a small group to start with alchemy.

        1. Youโ€ฆ you really might be on to something hereโ€ฆIf they bred barbs just for their hearts, it would make sense why there were ancient texts talking about barbarian hearts, and why their research was so important to the upper echelon of mages. Also, (and more importantly), it means we now know where barbarian hearts come from: โ€œthey got it from their mamasโ€(Haha sorry I couldnโ€™t resist)Still, all very plausible. I wonder what would happen if a human was implanted with a barbarian heart – if this woukd give them special abilities of the Barbarians, or any other abilities. Also I wonder how mages researched the hearts to begin with and what the results of that research was.
