I wanted to comment this a couple days ago. Some have said something similar already. I predict the village chief will take over Bjorns body completely. Once taken over, Saintred will kill Bjorn as that’s the only way to reclaim his body and Misha will resurrect him. Question is, once dead, will Bjorn lose all of his essences? Another interesting thing I realized was that Saintred specifically told Bjorn that his mission was to explore the floor and specifically take him out of the basement floor. He didn’t specify why though. Could be for public execution…
Essences are taken by soul, according to previous chapters. It means that body replacement should not take them away, though seals and engravements won't work anymore.
Maybe Misha wants Bjorn to die if she, in theory, has the stone. Lee maybe wants him to be outside of the city to escape the royal family. If a dead Bjorn gets delivered to the last gate, and gets resurrected, he really has no choice but to follow Lee. In return, Lee promised Misha freedom for Bjorn or something.
Interesting, but why does this goddess wants Bjorn to live? There's something fishy here. Is she truly a goddess? Or an overpowered mage/witch?
And also the fact it started helping Bjorn after he entered the basement…
There may be something here connected to said ‘goddess’. If not here, maybe in basement 2, and for some reason, it doesn't look like it wants the royal family to get that for themselves.
