Maybe the floor Lord is the high priest, so he might survive thanks Bjorn

  2. Do we know if guardian essences have a longer despawn time than normal ones so that they can tube it when the mage wakes up? Iโ€™d assume they wait for the mage before going through the blue portal (because we allll know they will obviously play it safe after losing a member and just go back to safetyโ€ฆ right guys????)

    1. I think they have the same time limit. I remember Bjorn talking about time limits of essences first in one the rifts (I think it was the Blood Tinted Castle)

  3. Unrelated question, Iโ€™ve been rereading the manhwa and there was a beginning for a plot line about the disappearance of Bjorn in the real world, concluding with the detectives getting mind wiped by somebody who was acquainted was auril Gavis but not him, do you thing this plot line was discontinued?

    1. Yeah it has been a long time since that was mentioned. I think it was in the first couple dozen chapters. Unclear what happened to that, but we still see the game notifications [like this].

    2. They havenโ€™t touched that storyline in a very very long time. Would be interesting to see development there, but I think it got less important to the overall story the more Hansoo realized he wasnโ€™t as keen on returning. My guess is, if that ever changes, it might become relevant again. We got a little bit of exposition when we met Hyun-Byeol Kang (his ex), about how he was declared missing by the police (but not a special case) and how his mom was trying to expedite his death announcement so she could collect his money. No wonder he prefers this world, eh?

  4. Too bad the mage is unconscious, if he was up, they could tube the essence.

    1. do they have the tubes? their equipment seemed to be messed with and it wasnt stated if Gahyun had his original stuff or not, but that would have been a cool possibility tbh, since this could be the only way to get a guardian version of this monsterโ€™s essence. Makes me wonder if theres potentially a guardian version of every essence somewhere in the labyrinth

      1. Iโ€™d figure the mage would prob have tubes (possibly via a bound subspace), seeing how mages operateAnd yeah if there was a way to get a rainbow essence for any high tier monsterโ€ฆ that would be bonkers

        1. i wasnt sure if their subspaces were accessible in this rift tbh, given that bjorn mentioned erwin had none of her normal gear or access, so i assumed there could be similar for the others but wasnt sure

          1. My guess is that the rift only changes things according to the story, and resets upon leaving. So like with the changed stats, I think that Erwin's equipment will be restored when she leaves, since the story required her to not have equipment (since sheโ€™s a non-combatant)Also, for mages that have bound subspaces, those are bound to the soul, and donโ€™t need objects. I remember back when Bjorn was sent back in time, he was lamenting that he couldnโ€™t use this to bring back his hammer to the present, since only mages could use it. Iโ€™m assuming, but I figure a high level mage like Gahyun would have one

  6. A rift within a rift perhaps?

And not killing the floor boss is the right thing in my opinion, this rift is still unknown, so perhaps something bad could haplen by killing the floor boss who helped them, just like with dreadfear incident, it was stated that if the team members betrayed eachother, the boss would have gotten stronger by leaps and bounds, something similar could happen here

    1. i think your 100% right what if at the end there suppose to fight some type of boss and the lord of silence would help them my theory before this chapter is that bjorn was already leading the floor lords in the witches army he just does not remember

    2. the rift in a rift makes sense, what if one portal leads out of this rift and the other leads to another rift, one which continues this history. And gives more info on the Life of the Earth Witch

  7. So the challenge was Surviving until the end? Or maybe Bjorn picked all the right choices so now the boss became nerfed

    1. The boss was the priest like we thought and the floor lord helped bjorn as a ally

      1. I think the priest wasnโ€™t a boss, but a casualty – an inevitable one. Perhaps thatโ€™s how the original story went for the character, so that was the defined route for him. In game terms, the priest's conversion and explosion would have been a cutscene rather than playable content.Curious thing is now, we got red pill blue pill with the portals. My interpretation is this: do they dive deeper for more risk/rewards or escape to freedom? Also, I agree, I donโ€™t think they were supposed to kill the floor lord here

        2. My guess is that with killing the floor Lord the priest would somehow come back and they would need to find him with unlimited Holy power

        3. it seems like the priest could have maybe held on with those flowers, someone else mentioned it in the comments before, but maybe if the priest got all the flowers, he could have held on and not given in to temptation

          1. I was thinking that too at first, but someone reminded me that the priest's mental resistance was fixed at 0, so donโ€™t think the flowers would have helped

          2. i think that the flowers arent something for mental resistance directly though, when eaten, the system prompt thats shown is โ€œControl slightly Improvesโ€ not an increase of mental resistance, and if we take the resistance as resistance to the effects on the mind, a restorative effect on the mind may just as much work better. Bjornโ€™s mental resistance was shown to prevent the memory reading that he wanted to happen, so we know that mental resistance doesnt only do good things. Its possible that positive mental effects also work to a lesser degree for those with high mental resistance, meaing the flowers may have helped the priest even more. we know that each Main stat contains substats, like obsession is technically a substat we know, so Self Control likely is also a substat of some kind, so its still possible i think for Control to go up or down, and the overall mental Resistance stat to remain at zero, since we dont know what stat Control is likely a substat for, its also possible its not subordinate to mental resistance at all, the whole web of stats and substats has only briefly been touched on and i wish we had more info on the specifics of it all

          3. actually, had a extension on this, Mental resistance and Control could both be substats to the same main stat tbh, so Mental Resistance being fixed to 0 in that case, would mean that control as a stat would be unconnected to mental resistance, but also thats just another possibility

          4. Hmm actually good point on the distinction, I didnโ€™t catch that. If this is true, the flowers would have been the only thing to have saved the priestโ€ฆThen again, would Bjorn and Chief have been able to resist enough on their own? I think this is what makes the difficulty level of this rift, and maybeโ€ฆ just maybe it might have necessitated choosing who to prioritize and who to abandon. Or maybe someone like Bjorn, with prep, time, and experience could find the golden path through this
