Finally. Taking command is easy here. Saintred was the only one strong enough to check Bjorn and the only one with enough prestige to even try. All anyone else can do is accept it or he'll just say they're on their own then. He's already laid down the ground work with the troops so no one can really wrestle command from him either.
I think the chief makes for an interesting potential antagonist as well. We know he's strong af and only seems to care for his own interests. So what happens when his interests clash with Bjorn’s?
Or better yet, when they clash with Gavis and Sergeants plans. Gavis exists in this world and invited conquers to beat the world to reach a goal that we are starting to see. Sergeant wants to return home because he misses working 9 to 5 jobs lol. Bjorn wishes to exist in this world but what happens if by beating this world scenario the world itself ends which will cause Bjorn to fight to not allow the game to be beaten.
Maybe the crown embodies the trial. So wearing it places the mental disruption curse, so over time mental clarity drops but in return near infinite consumable power whether it be divine/aura/or soul power like the priest had
the flower crown seems like its modeled off the idea of those flowers that can save you from temptation and those that have fallen into that temptation, white and black flowers? the white ones are like the mind recovery ones, and i bet the black ones are similar color to the Karui effects. Maybe this crown, given it dropped from the priest, is connected to Mental Resistance somehow, also its called the Crown of Anguish according to the system prompt, is it a crown of thorns type thing? like wearing it potentially both helps and hurts? It would fit with the theme of the black and white flowers too, with one half representing the help from resistance, and one half representing the harm from falling into Karui’s Temptation. Not sure of the exact effects that could carry, but interested to see more
They need some mages to do investigation, but i’m pretty sure that since noone know about it, Bjorn won’t want to share the spoils. Maybe he’ll coerce Raven, lol. He could ask Versyl, but she’s not the most inquisitive
i mean, theres already been a basement that they didnt know about, and im not sure if im recalling correctly, but werent the number items not actually numbered by default and that was a system that was created to sort them, meaning that if they dont know about the item, they couldnt sort it into the list and number it, so the numbers are a social construct, idk if that was also true on the game side of things, i think the numbers were built into the game but i dont remember for sure, but yeah! there being more would make sense in that context, if there can be more floors, why not more numbered itemsBegs the question, what tier of numbered item is this, a single, double, triple, or 4 digit tier numbered item
Or maybe because it’s numberless, it’s a step above the single digits?Not sure the reality behind them in Raphdonia, but in the game they came numbered, and madman hansoo memorized them all up to 9999, lol. There are gaps in between, so its possible these fill in the gaps, but I think they could actually be above them all (zero-digit item)
im pretty sure Raven talked about the items being numbered in the past through research early on very very briefly, but it wasnt really elaborated on much
I was thinking it might be some of karui like exchange.Maybe like trading permanent mental resilience for a temporary boon to stats or that ilk or devil-bargain.
Okay here’s a shot in the dark, the line about the flower crown alternating between light and dark makes me think it’s a bimodel item, what if it’s something that lets Bjorn swap his atk and defense stats at will, so he can basically switch between his tank build from outside rift and his damage dealer “build” from inside the rift… maybe he can even get some new essence that would compliment the attack mode since I feel like he would never want to give up his insane defense again even for a second
They have vice commander title for a reason in the military structure. By all rights, the VC would technically be the next Commander but given Bjorns experience and influence among the troops they don’t want to relinquish their power structure.
