  1. This is so impulsive imo. You know if something happens to the magic circle youโ€™re stuck outside for a year. So why keep going?? Whatโ€™s stopping literally anyone from breaking the circle?? Maybe this is why Iโ€™m not the MC lol

  3. Man, Bjorn has really embraced being a noble, eh? I almost feel for the GM

That warning about the magic circle makes me feel like something is going to happen to the magic circleโ€ฆ if they get stuck outside, I can only imagine how pissed his team will be, seeing all the work that will be passed onto their shoulders. And how would they come for him? I wonder if Raven would be able to figure out the circle. He probably didnโ€™t ask her for help because sheโ€™s affiliated with the army, but would be worth a conversation, no less.

I wonder what Versil said/did to get GM to come out without exposing herself. She really is a clever fox ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I might be missing something but how is Yurbens nickname elfnunalove if he came to this world 20 years ago? Did it say before that there is some time displacement potential or maybe he just heard enough stories or something?

    1. Yep thereโ€™s a time dilation between the worlds. We learn about it when we meet Hyun byeol and she shares how long Bjorn has been missing (months in their world) while it had been much longer in Raphdonia (I think years if I remember correctly).

  5. i feel like lee baek ho is maybe working with the gm and there going to trap him outside so he cant get in the way for there plan in a year from now i also feel like the monsters in the outside world either give different essences or have a way of making people stronger that the tower does not provide because why else would lee baek ho be going out there

  6. bjorn basically gaslighting and pushing Yurben to come with outside, but also this seems like a major mistake on bjornโ€™s part, no one else is with Bjorn and Yurben, and they are going outside the city. With comments that the magic circle can recover if destroyed but only after a year. None of bjornโ€™s party being with him for this makes me think weโ€™re going to see Bjorn trapped outside the city for an entire year as either he fucks up and destroys the magic circle, or Yurben wasnt telling the whole truth of itโ€™s backward activation, or Baek hoo may come along and destroy it, something though. Theres no other reason to specify that the magic circle could reform itself in this chapter unless its set up for trapping Bjorn outside.

Which means we will potentially have a long period of time thats plot and lore related as the outside of the walls is explained and explored but also that we could end up not getting any perspective at all from Bjornโ€™s party. If the author solely focuses on Bjorn while heโ€™s outside the walls, that would ngl be a tad disappointing, cause id love to see how the rest of the party and his clan and his noble house would react if Bjorn basically vanishes for a full year, that would be politically dangerous.

I feel like this is going to be another arc that gives minimal city updates and mostly exploration plot. I hope im wrong and we get swaps between the two though.

    1. Yeah we've definitely just setup a kidnap the MC solo Arc style event. We have a motivation for baekho to show-up and kidnap Yurban, yoinking him and stranding bjorn outside the wall for the rest of the gap year we've been told has to pass before fun happens seems like a feasible plot.I do agree with your assessment, author doesn't really want to go into detail for political intrigue or city life, isolating our MC for a solo or duo arc is a trope-y way to advance the plot and develop side characters off screen. Bjorns going to come back and be loaded from his landlord scheme that just worked ™ in the background too.

    2. Hold up, don't we have a backdoor into the labyrinth aswell?King had closed the labyrinth for the city but not the portal noark took to skip to floor 7Solo Leveling Rip-off time?Or could meet up with the party monthly on floor 7 if they re-pop the labyrinth

      1. that is an interesting concept and technically we dont know that its even the only labyrinth portal outside the walls. There was comments that the outside of the walls matches the labyrinth, so if true, maybe the 7th floor portal was in the area that matched the 7th floor outside the walls? meaning that if the other areas can potentially be found, then could bjorn access any floor he wants at will?and honestly, if there are portals to the labyrinth outside, and the areas match the inside of the labyrinth, couldnt there just be monsters outside also?? like the ones in the labyrinth are mostly mindless, except in hyper specfic circumstances involving fulfilled conditions, and i previously had the theory that the true witchโ€™s curse was the ability to turn those outside the city or in specific spots into monsters and that was what the effect of it was and why it was hidden and even is potentially controlled by the Royal family, and this idea is strengthened by what we learned of the empire, and how there were Cultists of karui turning people into monsters in the witchโ€™s name. So its very possible for people to become monsters and has been so for generations. So if the people of the empire were turned to monsters, and there are areas that were once the empire in the labyrinth, and we know that the areas in the labyrinth are potentially copied from real locations outside the walls, then the outside of the walls is likely the now monsterfied and ruined Empire. And if the monsters outside the walls are โ€œrealโ€ in a sense, compared to their mindless copied counterparts in the labyrinth, couldnt the monsters outside the walls potentially be more dangerous?

        1. He could just go to floor 7 then head down right?First touch speedrun exp is a thing, a year worth of that because no competition. We're probably meeting up with baekho for a party or keeping Yurban around, need an alchemist to make food if we get stranded.

        2. I saw the edit, I'd like to see if we have intelligent creatures on the outside too, but I think in Canon the ones we meet inside are already long dead, because time magic / time has passed. It would be interesting to see if the monsters outside the walls, if they exist, are the same as the monsters in basement who claim they are human. Author could be slow rolling us with the โ€œwhat is a monster reallyโ€ deep thought.

          1. true, though the real versions of the monsters may have been able to reproduce outside the walls and spread and grow over time, we have no real idea what could have happened to any creatures beyond the walls. Even if there are not identical entities to the ones we see in the Labyrinth, doesnt mean there cant be other similar entities taht never died. If they are monsters, their lifespan could have increased greatly, meaning there could possibly be monster residents of the empire still alive beyond the walls even. Say someone else became a Vampire but never died, and thus was never taken to the โ€œland of paradiseโ€ or the labyrinth, as we saw with other monsters. Or if there was a mage of the Empire who became a Lich and remained in the ruins, or alot of humanoid monsters could live a long time potentially. Granting possible lore dropsNot to mention even if its only the more generic monsters that remain beyond the walls, and not the unique monsters, they may still be more intelligent than their labyrinth counterparts, whether that intelligence boost would be for a monster society or combat intelligence however, we cant say truly without knowing if the intelligence boost of being a โ€œrealโ€ monster even exists or not. we do know that goblins and other monsters existed in the empire and they were smarter than the ones in the labyrinth, so im inclined to believe that natural monsters are more intelligent and able to reason than Labyrinth monsters though

          2. It goes a bit against the grain for what we're speculating on here but we know1. Baekho and friends are outside the wall2. Baekho and Yurban know more than we/bjorn doI think any lore dump were going to get is either going to be from joint labyrinth exploration or provided to us by the local mcguffins we know about. We're set up to learn from baekho why the king sucks and why hes super great. We even have yurban as a foil for counterargument. Could be fun if the author opens that can of worms.I think we may find ruins with ancient script bjorn can read, I don't think we're finding a population.

          3. fair enough, i also doubt any large number of intelligent monsters could even exist, if so, i feel it would be limited to a single instance, if at all. And personally, im more inclined to think that the boost real monsters get will be more combat focused and their intelligence and reasoning is more just in how they function, being less like mindless game mobs and more like real living creatures that hunt and seek out prey, but wanted to address the potential for society intelligence boost instead, since you mentioned it briefly and the idea of exploring what a monster truly is seems interesting, im about 10% on the seriousness of there being sentient monster villages out beyond the walls personally.More just fun to explore the ideas!and yeah, iโ€™d agree with you on the nature of the lore dump likely coming from Baek hoo and yurben explaining things to Bjorn, and we also dont know what the rest of Baek hooโ€™s party knows individually, meaning there could be something hidden as well. Theres also the high potential for yurben to learn Bjorn is an Evil Spirit and even that he is Elf Nunna and that they met in the community. Not to even mention the potential for gavis popping in at literally any moment out beyond the walls

          4. If they encounter baekho for more than 5 seconds im sure yurban could figure out bjorn is an evil spirit and fairly important purely from the fact baekho didn't murder him instantly. If he calls him hyung once then yeah, bjorns "actโ€ is instantly blown.I get what you mean with Intelligence! Makes sense :)A single survivor makes sense, especially since the chapter is titled outsider.Did forget about gavis for a hot minute.

          5. yeah and honestly i think that yurben learning it would allow bjorn to let some of his guard down in this process. cause being with a person you dont know and trust properly and having to keep up an act the whole time, espeically when youre in unexplored and likely dangerous new areas, is just mentally draining and that energy should be used to survive, not maintain an act, so for their sake, its better if bjorn is able to air it all out in some ways. Given bjorn wont have anyone to use as a shield and throw sus off him like normal, and its just him and yurben, he canโ€™t use his normal tactics at all, add baek hoo in the mix, and bjorn maintaining this secret would take about 6 miracles. and yeah, gavis could even be part of the reason Bjorn gets stuck, we said Baek hoo before, but gavis throwing his hand into things to get something specific to happen with bjorn would track.

        3. Oo good point, maybe there are โ€œrealโ€ monsters? I remember Hamsiki v1.0 was telling Bjoen about a type of โ€œbrainwashingโ€ some monsters were immune to and maintained their wits. Maybe those guys are free of the brainwashing since theyโ€™re not in the labyrinth, or maybe thereโ€™s more to itโ€ฆ

      2. They closed the labyrinth server though, so even if there was a portal, I think it would be inoperable

    3. Yeah, I hear you, I feel the same. It looks like we'll be outside for a whileโ€ฆ which iโ€™m not mad at, but thereโ€™s been so much anticipated city setup, Iโ€™ve started looking forward to those too. This would also be another case of Bjorn disappearing for a period of time, leaving the responsibilities to the few capable people he left behind (Shabin, Rotmiller, Hikurod, etc). Heโ€™s starting to treat them like he would in an RPG. That being said, really looking forward to learning more about the secrets of the world that we could only learn out here on the outside. I wonder if Hansoo is a fan of Adelle? Helloโ€ฆ
