  1. I think Lee Baek Ho is the evil spirit mentioned hereโ€ฆ He is on a path that even Gavis ainโ€™t effin with, regardless of how their external interactions seem confrontational. Thatโ€™s my theoryโ€ฆ

  2. So Baek Ho basically told Gavis that the recent mess is his own fault. Man he is salty, and heโ€™s going to be even moreso when Bjorn gets back (unless Gavis sends him elsewhere)

Poor GM just wants to go home. Bjorn basically kidnapped him, gaslit him, and then stole his treasure. On top of almost dying a number of times. Heโ€™s probably done with this adventure

Gavis giving Bjorn his best Morhpeus (matrix red pill/blue pill question) and taking him on a tour – curiosity killed the cat my friend – I'm not surprised this revelation turned sour. Question is, is the record in the past, or yet to come?

  3. So, assuming that the โ€œother Auril Gavis" was telling the truth, Bjorn just lied to himself more than he knows.

If the other world, where he was stuck in a psych ward, really was the true world Bjorn had come from, then he indeed chose โ€œthe lie he wished was truthโ€ rather than the โ€œtruth he wished was a lie".

How significant this is or could be, I dunno.

    2 more chapters, I think.

The clan is already gearing up to find him, and will get nothing done in doing so. They're just going to pop through the teleportation thing, reveal to Baek how much Bjorn means to them and tip him over the edge, and then Bjorn is gonna come through after talking to AG, misunderstand or cause a misunderstanding, and then they're gonna go back home and the labyrinth is gonna open again.

    Kinda missing Shaybin though

    1. The other world he was sent to was a โ€œrealโ€ world but not โ€œhis" world, author did a multiverse.I don't believe bjorn choosing to go back was him lying to himself, his motivation for it was either beyond weak escapism or a solidifying of the โ€œhero" mentality since the only outburst we have from him in that period is โ€œthere are people in there" indicating he's going back in to save everyone or he's justifying his escapism. It's probably the former even though at the time I called him an escapist. It's legitimately the only motivation that makes sense for the continuity of the story EG open the gate as the goal, we still have no information about why the earth witch doesn't want him to do that or motivation to not live it up here and retire rich since he's accepted this place as a real world in the multiverse. In summary โ€œwhat is this placeโ€ is a dumb question to ask the mcguffin, โ€œwhy am I here, why did you bring us here, what do you need me to do, why should i do that" are all much better goal oriented questions than โ€œBro, where is this dev room at?โ€

      1. Tbh I'd prob ask different questions too, but I think the reason Bjorn asked what kind of place it is was because of Gavisโ€™ response to GM. He said itโ€™s a place outside of the castle, but was also a very special place to him that he didnโ€™t want to disclose its location. My guess is that he was following the lion style to figure out what was important to Gavis and get answers that way. We know very little of his motivations, so knowing something special (but seemingly trivial) might be a clueโ€ฆ maybe?

  4. Dwalki is the first companion. Is the doll number 2?

But no seriously, just a coincidence that the resurrection stone has 2 uses and he just so happens to have 2 more comrades that need to die? Absolutely nothing at stake here. Smart money is on Aynar being one of them. Misha likely the other so she can make up for her guilt, which many people saw coming when I was arguing that she was a traitor. I'll remind everyone that I said it would be a cheap way to make her โ€œrepentโ€ as it doesn't really change anything as she was always willing to die for Bjorn. It robs her of character growth.

And will the โ€œtruthโ€ he realizes be that he's a huge pussy and his fear of commitment isn't warranted anymore?

  5. Geez this a bad chapter. Iโ€™m going on a break for a bit. I feel like I read it twice with so many repeated sentences. I will see you guys in a week or so.

Meant to write this before but was too annoyed but losing 3 comrades doesnโ€™t mean dying. I could lose them via betrayal (like baek hos teammates), quitting (like bear/dwarf/guide), other forces not allowing them to leave to join him (raven/ dragon girl), or differences of opinions.

    2. I thought this was interesting tbh – been a while since we saw a Hansoo-Gavis encounter/battle of wits.Alsoโ€ฆ I was thinking this as soon as Bjorn and Gavis went on that walk butโ€ฆ Baek Ho has a very suspicious nature, and probably hasnโ€™t seen Bjorn come through the portal. Heโ€™s also already in a crappy mood, with Gavis talking down to him. My money says, when Bjorn leaves through the portal, he might go off on BjornIโ€™m also curious if weโ€™ll get any clues to whether this record is from the past or the futureโ€ฆ the Witch did say Bjorn will deal with some upcoming hardships. Maybe that could mean losing ppl?

  6. He did loose 3 comrades in the fight against dreadfear. And he choose to get them back. hopefully that scene is meant and not the future

    1. I think the only comrade lost that counts is dwalki, im trying to remember if there was someone who might qualify among the members of the frostrock expedition

      1. I think Baggi has a good point, that prophecy does read alot like that hidden scenario which opened up all the big secrets. It could also be about baekho, who lost his companions, it's pretty vague by itself.Imho the interesting comment was auril gavis calling bjorn โ€œnot human" when bjorn couldn't read the name.It implies alot of things and ties back to the basement. IE who are the humans, what are the current races etc, I really really hope the author doesn't try their hand at eugenics thou.

        1. I actually interpreted Gavisโ€™ comment as a pretentious way to say โ€œyou donโ€™t need to worry about that, itโ€™s basically a nameโ€, and that maybe it has more meaning to gods or other higher beingsDonโ€™t think he was saying Bjorn is not human
