โAfter losing three of his companions โโ realizes what they must doโ
This is describing the 1st floor boss right?
Aynar, Erwin, and Versyl all legitimately died in short succession. And he made the choice to revive them shortly after, instead of opting for maximizing rewards or attempting to slay the boss again.
Has the author written themself into a corner? Genuinely curious cause even if only of the 3 allies he loses is one of his closest (the women tbh) itโs such a high bar to clear to make that a satisfying read. I already commented earlier I would def consider dropping this is if that happened (and absolutely would drop if Amelia dies) and I feel the same now.
AND if the story goes the other way and he has to pull the heist of the century to deceive fate thatโs probably an even higher bar to clear. Maybe this is why Iโm not an author lol
I also just realized that Lee Baekhoโs (fuck him btw) character concept is basically a saiyan. The platinum blonde hair, the unreasonably high strength and speed, and the energy blasts. I shouldโve probably noticed since the OP energy blast move he used earlier tbh. Sry if someoneโs already pointed this out lol
Besides, it was not the right time to tell her anyway. Ultimately, I decided to think it over and consider whether I should talk to her openly and hear her thoughts.
Why is shitty, dog shit writing so predictable? This is the final straw. I have never been more disappointed in a novel / author as much as this. Just like with bjorn's fear of intimacy, there is no justifiable reason that excuses the author's drop in writing quality. To go from the levels of peak to this shit is inexcusable. This story wasted my freaking time. If you guys are fine shoveling shit in your mouths and pretending it's caviar, then go ahead and live in fantasy land. I'm not doing that though. I'm out.
I think there is an interesting possibility here that the record stone Bjorn read arenโt about him. I donโt remember it ever being out right confirmed by comparing to a like a record stone saying he beat the original or any of the others we know are about him and it could be Gavis trying to trick him. I think it might be about Baekho the Caron one could be about bjorn really deciding to go against him since baekho really wants to work with bjorn. This is also silly and a stretch but Gramps and Baekho are allies now so him burning down the last place he could get Korean food could be a messed up betrayal technically. Plus the losing allies one could totally be Baekho being revealed as an evil spirit and his allies dying afterwards leading him onto the path he now follows.
For essences, he has Orge, Bayon, Storm Gush, Vol-Herchan, Deep Sea Giant, Bellarios, and the hybrid essence from the Basement (7 total). He has one slot availableI can take a stab at the math, but this doesnโt take into account his passive, active effects, blessings, items, or engravings. I know one of his essences multiplies his strongest stat by 1.5, while others increase by threat level, accumulated damage, or other triggers. Below is just my approximation from essence stats alone:Absorbtion: 60Adaptability: 80Agility: 25All Attribute Sensitivity: 30All Attribute Resistance: 10Bone Density: 175Cognition: -20Dark Resistance: 95Endurance/Stamina: 130Flexibility: -30Hearing: 60Jumping Power: 120Lightning Resistance: -30Lung Capacity: 40Mana Resistance: 375Muscle Mass: 15Natural Regeneration: 165Pain Resistance: 30Physical Resistance: 300Soul Power: 150Soul Regeneration: 30Strength: 410Vision: 45Voila ๐
I dont quite Remeber the verbiage but I believe earth dragons blessing gave a +20% value to all bonus stats gained through essence absorbed, something like that.
Youโre right, and that increased to 30% when he got the achievement in Gnome Tree for breaking that cave wall (before being outed by Baek Ho).Shoot, if weโre also talking* about achievements, then that has an additional set of stat increases (all the hidden pieces acquired, and consitions met). Plus all the modifiers from his equipment and imprints, and the synergy of his buildโฆThatโs a lot to calculate ๐
Bjorn commenting on Auyen gaining weight made me chuckle. Giving off major uncle vibes this chapter.
Still love the loot market concept, it shows the tone and well-being of the clan. I hope they keep that spirit and donโt accept ppl who wouldnโt be a good fit (ie. self-centered/greedy)
Lol at Erwin almost catching Amelia and Bjorn having a heartfelt moment.

Can someone give us Bjorn states ? I forget what essences he has now.
