  1. Yeah, so Bjorn is definitely going to join Noark after this arc – or at least, he will on the surface. May be a sort of double agent thing, or maybe he really goes in on destroying the royals.

Cheron has an interesting theory, and it's plausible, but if that's the case then Bjorn wouldn't simply be going up against the royals. He may very well go against the King and take his place to rule, as a lion. As the Lion, which has been foreshadowed for a while now.

  2. Iโ€™ve had this knawing feeling for a while now that the highest of royals and the highest of noark/orcules are working together. Like playing 1 big game and trying to elimate variables to their perfect little fairytale. Bjorn, (the non evil spirit) might have been destined to do some on script things so canโ€™t be eliminated out right. It has to follow a narrative. But maybe the spirit brought to this world was Hanso, someone who beat his worlds version of the game with unconventional methods?idkโ€ฆstill thinking on that, Pretty much since the labyrinth closing Ive had this hunch.

    1. Iโ€™ve actually wondered about that too. In the manhwa, they give a bit more insight into the Noark head's POV, and they dont really allude to that there, but that could just be the adapter's creative direction sans future knowledgeโ€ฆWhat I am really curious about is Bjorn's partial revelation that the Royals goal might be to prevent explorers from reach the 10th floor. We havenโ€™t heard any records of anyone in-story history ever doing that, and we know that in the game, that was the end. What if the labyrinth permanently closes if one beats the 10th floor, and the Royals want to continue mining it for resources? Or perhaps thereโ€™s something there that gives greater power (or great destruction) over the Royals? They were adamant at stopping Noark from ascending above as well and sent that Ice Rock task force when they had upper level priority. Food for thoughtAlso, knowing his crew is known to be capable of pushing to the higher floors puts a direct target on their back. Hoping the team is oiled well enough to cover each other through this war

  4. The Royals want to thin the herd of explorers, like they did in the earlier battles against Noark – when they first took the battlefront to the underground city, and then when they had the stalemate on the 7th floor. Always using the explorers as fodder.

Bjorn is not going to be happy when he learns he wonโ€™t be reassignedโ€ฆ and they should learn by now what happens when this barbarian doesnโ€™t get what he wantsโ€ฆ

  5. I have a creeping fear.. this might happen.

This scene flipped on its head a nearly universal apocalypse story trope about how scientists and military leaders handle the situation. When she gives this advice it gave me chills. : r/thelastofus

  6. Finally caught up! Hi everyone, seems like a small community was created here while I was gone. Iโ€™m sad I missed it but the wait every week was unbearable so I decided to drop this and let chapters pile up during the Basement 1 arc. There were definitely some rough patches along the way these last arcs, but the fights vs Baekho was worth the build up. Now, regarding the fragments and their โ€œpropheciesโ€ I really hope they happen this arc, I hate fake outs (One Piece PTSD), but they probably wonโ€™t because the betrayal needs more setup. This chapter gave me the feeling that this war will become a turning point for Bjorn and I expect a few relatively important characters dying. My main concern is with now Bjorn isolated how the arc would develop. Iโ€™m feeling like a meeting with the king is happening while protecting him from the elite squad. I loved some discussions I read here so Iโ€™m open to talk about what you expect from this arc.

    1. Welcome back! Not sure if weโ€™re going to get the prophecy fulfilled this arc – i remember the Regal Vagos prophecy took a number of arcs to complete, so personally I am expecting a bit of the same – keeping Bjorn in a state of weariness until something eventually pays off at some point. Some ppl have mentioned that technically the prophecies could have already been paid off: 1. When Bjorn & team fought Dreadfear (when the 3 technically died Bjorn knew what he had to do), and 2. When Carnon burned back when he went to save Raven, and Baek Ho felt like he was betrayed by the Ruin Scholar (might be a stretch) because burning it would force the King into hiding and not expose himself like Baek Ho wanted. Then again, those could also be red herrings for a real pay off in the future. Only time will tell.Iโ€™m a bit sad to be isolated from the crew again after just recently reuniting with them (after a long period outside without them) but we know Bjorn is going to reap some sort of havoc in the Capitol without them ๐Ÿ˜… so Iโ€™m waiting for that.Got some more theories and stuff below from the other homies, check back every so often to see more ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Iโ€™m really against the theories about the prophecies already being fulfilled or actually being about Baekho. The former would be an absurd red herring and would make the whole interaction with AG pointless, the latter I believe is completely debunked when AG says sth along the lines of โ€œit must be fate that the one you chose among the hundreds was the one which talked about youโ€. So yeah, sadly people will probably die and the resurrection stone will be used (so 1 character will permanently die I guess). But iirc, the prophecy said โ€œloseโ€ and not โ€œdieโ€ so thereโ€™s some semantic there to play, maybe the end result would be a mix of both (people dying and people cutting ties with Bjorn). My main suspects who will be involved in the prophecies are the ex and Aynar, I really canโ€™t picture the main 4 girls being deeply affected.

        1. I wonder if the resurrection stone would even be used. Bjorn's never talked favorably about it – i think the only reason he has it is so he has the option to use itโ€ฆ but Iโ€™m not convinced he will in the end. With no memories and no ties, and ally is an ally no more, and would need to be groomed up from scratch. I think Bjorn and co are too far ahead far ahead. The thing I'm curious about in that prophecy (aside from who) is what the thing he realizes he must do is. Whether it means open the gate, go to war w/ someone, etcโ€ฆ there are still lots of options of what it could be.
