Yeah Bjorn's totally gonna 1v17 all of their special forces, what a great idea! I hated on people saying the author was lazily writing before but I can't defend this. And then bailed out by them using a mass teleport :/ maybe I'm just an idiot but idk none of that makes sense to me. Shouldn't he be worried about getting back to his comrades?
of course they have an impenetrable wall. and the ability to recover from having their head smashed. let me guess, his eye can copy any jutsu that isnt a bloodline technique rolls eyes is anyone else a little desperate for Bjorn to land a win that isn't tainted by "oh warble barble the royal family is so strongโ
One of the redeeming qualities of this novel is that wins do not often come easy for our hero – theyโre usually hard fought and come with some kind of sacrifice. Our guy usually has the card (nay the whole deck) stacked against him, and the story follows the decisions he makes to find the most rewarding or least losing outcomes.I take this recent event as a โnot today, but somedayโ raincheck for a later payoff. This isnโt Inuyasha, where the bad guy baits and thwarts death for 5 seasons – thus far, itโs been a bit more reasonable and shows the intelligence and craftiness of characters aside fron our MC.
we already had one of those against Jerome Saintrod and he died offscreen. I've been invested in Bjorn winning against long odds ever since that trap in the dark but with the power scale keep ratcheting up its hard to feel like Bjorn is making progress. I believe in the author but this part ain't vibing with me. plus one of the best parts of this is his group dynamics! and we get reunited with them only to be immediately separated???
I miss the rest of the clan too, especially when they rescued Bjorn, Avengers Endgame style, and having Bjorn have to go off without then againโฆ but we learn a lot more about the royals, the prison, and the marquis this arc.I'm thinking we either meet the king or meet back up with the clan after this, before officially facing off against Orcules again. Even then it won't be easy, they had free reign to the 7th and 8th floors of the labirynth for a while so likely they levelled up good, but hopefully it'll at least be satisfying
Things are aligning as to set raven as the tr8torโฆ it might be a fake raven tho as i dont recall her calling bjorn mr jandel before, she called him just jandelโฆ
She often called him with honorifics, though it may have been translated differently sometimes. She calls most of them with Mr./Ms., even Aynar, Misha, and Amelia
It is a one time opportunity to take the portal but taking it would only be correct as a last resort when other magic isnt available considering his comrades and the people are outside.

Merry Christmas everyone. And happy holidays to everyone else!
is this the same portal that someone from Orcules mentioned at the round table 20 years ago? something about a portal below the palace iirc
