I wonder if the reason the Marquis turned against the king ends up being a really valid one. Canโt help but think if there might have been a way for this to be the moment Bjorn turns on the king. Butโฆ it doesn't seem to be in the cards, or at least, I don't think he's set up well enough. He'd have to work with most of the ppl he's marked to kill, and possibly sacrifice some of his closest allies for his goalโฆ it doesnt sound like a choice he'd ever make.
I think itโs gonna be a case of right v right. The marquis has every moral right to be upset and do what he do, but the king has the ultimate moral highground if theyโre really trying to save the entire world. The hardest choice for good people isnโt between bad and bad, itโs between two versions of โgoodโ that are diametrically opposed
i think itโs more gray than right vs right . if it were the marquis would have at least try to actually recruit a possible ace against the king before the ice arc . i think they are both greedy assholes that think their way is the only correct path
I think you both are right, in that each feel they have just cause to back their actions. The king likely feels he is doing what he's doing (and sacrificing) for the good of everyone in the city, while the Marquis feels justified based on whatever grudge he has against the King – a grudge with aligns with those from Orcules (and now even Noark).I think this is a specific game Bjorn doesnโt have any skin in, but he has his own grudges to smash..
I have a feeling the Marquis blames the king for the evil spirits/has solid proof with something to do with his wife. Cant conntect the dots yet but lots of hints were dropped
You know, i think youโre on the train. I donโt know where its going, but iโm riding with you.I had gotten the sense that the king could have been responsible for Ragna's mom dying or something like that, but the reason for the real depths of that grudge is lost to me
Manโฆ all bets are off now.
