I've read an other translation and that one help understanding May's reaction. It'd seem Bjorn mispoke and he eventualy shouted that Elwen was still virgin…
Looks like itโs May after all. The uncle could be acting like Bjorn does but not likely when you consider the context. She self admits she doesnโt like the Labyrinth, due to all of the inconveniences and it not being worth it. She likely only beat the game at a really high mod.
Being the niece of the elder, she would likely have a wealth of information and insight into the clan, especially if the elder is raising her as a substitute. May doesnโt have to worry about expenses and taxes.
What cements the theory for is the superstition May told Erwin about getting married at a festival brings a lasting bond.
The only thing that would convince me otherwise is the line, โI received an anonymous tip in the middle of the night.โ The LOL could be a ploy by crescent moon to throw him off the scent, as being a fellow evil spirit and knowing Baek hos M-O, it wouldnโt be all that hard for the elder to just add that to the letter for legitimacy.
You might be onto something thereโฆ Iโm definitely intrigued. The only thing I can think of that might exclude her would be May's age – we dont know exactly how old she is, but if she was less than 20 when Hansoo joined the round table, then it's likely not her (unless sheโs a similar case to Ruined Scholar).Still, its a valid theory – Iโll keep it on my radar
I meant to add that the quote that he received an anonymous tip in the middle of the night is a half/full truth. When players get summoned to the server world, it was always in the middle of the night. So technically when he was at the round table and heard the information, it was in the middle of the night. If found the note, it would have been in thee morning, thus its more probable to say he woke up to a note.I was also thinking she is something similar to the Ruin Scholar.Iโve actually had a bit of a running theory that people inhabit the bodyโs of NPCs similar in age to the players. So May beat the game as a kid, she could have replaced the real May as a kid as well.
The Ruined Scholar was one case – he didnโt play the game though, he found a book in a cave and reading it transported him to Raphdonia. We know he was a child because thatโs how he was described at the past version of the round table
You know what? My bad, you are entirely correct. Wellโฆ I think the limit was 20, but still, your point remains. ๐คI guess we put the May evil spirit theory to bed?
That last part I'm not so sure of – Crescent moon was described with masculine features, and not as those of a child. The nighttime theory would be pretty neat though if it came true.

70% May – 30% Elder
