Tbf, he has no timeline on when any of those fangs will be bared against him. The king could catch up with saintred and karui's heart, or realize that thunder is in Bjorn's possession. Baek Ho has officially broken off ties, so he is an imminent threat. Not so worried about Gavis, since he plays the sly long game – doubt he would pose a direct threat. There are others too though: the head of noark who was betrayed by Bjorn, the head of orcules who wants his head on a pike, any noble who wants to vie for political power… there's no shortage of threats.Plus Bjorn wants to strengthen not just himself but his teammates so they do better at surviving in the absence of his protection. The way to strengthen them is to level them up and feed them high level essences, and this was supposed to be a crippled high level monster. Fortune did not favor them in this raid and Bjorn was unwilling to sacrifice his teammates just to beat Snictura, something he did many times (in the game), often at the expense of a teammate.Leatlas did tell him that his life would be high risk, high reward, which truly has characterized his life in raphdonia and throughout the labyrinth…
That was my first thought too but at the same time, Erwin still has a few essences that make her less rational. She would not hesitate for a second to give her life if she thought it meant saving Bjorn.

Look I understand that for svens skill to shine, the party should be on a desperate situation, but this one was totally fabricated by bjorns incompetence. Forget about everyone gaslighting themselves, instead of using their critical thinking, in regards of what the plan is, or how bjorn knows all of this, forget about how everyone follows whatever bjorn says like drones… Lets talk about what the fucking plan is, and lets point out first of all that skull island WAS NOT THEIR MAIN OBJECTIVE on this labyrinth expedition, but something bjorn as a korean fucktwat, i mean gamer, considered too good an opportunity to let pass…
so all in all the plan seems to go like this:
First we clear a rift to beat its boss in a way that we meet a special condition. Then we get a debuff that will unavoidable kill us if we do not return in 24h after killing a level 1 monster, with no mp or resources to be used during the fight. Now lets continue with the plan although there is a shady guild with 90 members stalking us, so lets sap our strength by leaving a party member that might get killed while we are gone.
But wait! There is more! The level 1 monster has an ability that can cripple a character beyond repair! It is an ability that corrups an essence randomly and it can do it multiple times!! (affecting several essences that you wont be able to remove once corrupted).
And dont tell me bjorn didnt expect this, or that the monster should be sealed, cause bjorn himself said that he tried to use this mechanic to break and overpower characters, while playing the game ( and to do so you should be able to apply this mechanic consistently) so the event of the monster using this ability should be quite likely to occur.
This is not a game anymore, there is no start over if you cripple your character… So taking all in to account this place should be avoided like the plague! But bjorn decided to throw themselves head first in this situation while no one questioned shit.
And, of course, instead of crippling his character irredimably and have some of the clan members killed, everyone lives and Bjorn corrupted essence(s) is(are) going to become the most broken OP shit known to man…
This is not plot armor anymore… its more like plot tank or plot exosuit….
At least he admited that due to his fuck up everyone was going to die…thats somewhat relieving… but I belive his decisions should have consecuences matching in graveness with the stupidity of such choices…
For me it kinda made sense for him to take risks like this because he's overconfident in his game knowledge. The only issues I saw were how he didnt take into consideration the move that was unavoidable, the one that hit beleg and his decision to save him which would’ve gotten more killed. Its probably his overconfidence again thinking he could still kill the boss even with its op skills, it shouldve been like Misha rather than somebody he personally doesnt care much about who got hit then it would make more sense why he risked death since he loves misha
Tbf, this is not the only place Snictura exists, and this is the one place where it shouldn’t have been able to use skills. I agree with Baggi that I think he underestimated the raid and overestimated himself. There never was a guarantee that all things would be exactly like the game, and while he knew more hidden pieces than anyone, this was one that very dangerous for his clan. That being said, this raid straight left of all probabilities.My question is, is it the Hans effect that is causing this, or is the occurence of a Hans an indicator of a bad fate to come?

Quick analysis of the 7 predicted deaths:
Currently there are 11 people there (Amelia is outside).
Bjorn would have survived and Auyen was outside so that leaves 9 people
Sven is confirmed to have died and Erwins uncle is also pretty much certain so that leaves 7 people, 5 of which will die:
Misha, Erwin, guild master, Kaislan, Aynar, Raven, Lyris
Let’s hope Bjorn or Sven gain some fate overruling power as I like most of these remaining characters.
