  1. Normally, I hate stories where the MC knows everything (through reincarnation, rebirth, transmigration, etc). Whenever there's a crisis, the author can just conveniently pull a piece of knowledge out of their @ss to solve the problem. It's just lazy writing!

I only stick with this one for its world building and plots. But lately, even those cannot save it.

I can't stand the MCโ€™s arroganceโ€ฆ. Those companions trust him with their life, but he always withholds information. FOR WHAT? Are they so dumb that they cannot decide for themselves? Only wise man like the MC here can be trusted to make the correct decisions for everyone? Those poor clanmates don't even have the privilege to know anything in advance to react faster. A leader who freezes or get emotional at every new development doesn't help either.

And what's up with โ€œruthlessnessโ€ in Korea? Is it a virtue there? Why is every novel and manwha tries to up each other on how much of a d*ckhead and a hypocrite their MC is in negotiations?

Maybe it'll get better, maybe he'll learn, maybe Iโ€™m impatient. I just don't feel like reading this anymore. I had a lot of fun reading this novel. Hope it's getting better for you guys. Bye

    1. I can't argue against Bjorn being a dick at times (cause he is), but there's also a militaristic mindset behind many of his practices. He holds the information and decides what to divulge to minimize confusion and ensure cooperation. He is the head of the clan, a noble who has had audience with the King, a declared hero and has proven both his leadership and his vast amount of knowledge and decisive decision-making. He's earned the trust of his comrades and the respect of others. He also has to hide his evil-spirit status from a few of the members, so being a know-it-all here would work against him. Remember, he's a barbarian, so his already vast knowledge, intuition, and wisdom is already seen as exceptional. To your point on withholding info, I think the author envisioned someone might feel this way, so he wrote in that scene where Amelia scolded Raven. Its important not to undermine the leader in front of the pack and trust that either time, enough will be revealed.

  2. Didnโ€™t he get the Orb of Fire from one of the mages when he ran into the city to save Raven when the ruined scholar lit it on fire?

    1. No, he just got other fire resistant items and buffs there, temporarily. He got the fire orb from a hut in the burning forest in chap 171 – its a bound item so it stays with the person who touched it.Tarvian is also mentioned in ch171 for anyone who wants to go back and reference for next chapter.

Btw, we are halfway through the 2nd last published arc of this novelโ€ฆ we're catching up a little too quickly if you ask me (but I still can't get enough)

  5. Wait I thought Bjorn didnโ€™t know anything about dimensional collapses before being sucked into the game? Now itโ€™s something that happened often even in the game and he knows all about it? I also thought there werenโ€™t any records of anyone surviving one and thatโ€™s why so many of the top adventurers had been wiped out in the pastโ€ฆ

    1. I just went back and checked to confirm, dimensional collapses were in the game. Bjorn says they occurred roughly 1% of his playthroughs. I don't recall anything saying they have a 0% survival rate either, just that they're the most dangerous event of the whole dungeon.
