I'm really curious how many basement floors there are, since there was a sign in the map, there should definitely be at least one more, but would be crazy if there were as many basement floors as upper floors!!
so reading back some of the older chapters, Namely Chapter 171-172, where the mirror realm is, and Aynar gets the essence that gives Wings of Greed, and the hut with the Orb of Fire is found. There is mention of the Stone Monument that does nothing AND also there is mention of there being multiple other, identical stones in other directions, all of which seemingly do nothing. Now.
Since we know that the areas in the Labyrinth are seemingly based on real places potentially now, and that there exists an entrance to the labyrinth on the 8th floor from outside the city walls, I have a theory. what if, outside the walls, there are the real areas that coorespond to the Labyrinth areas, and in them, there are similar stone Monuments that, with the right input, can act as portals between the outside and inside. We dont know how Gavis did it, only that he is the one who likely helped Noark outside the walls with Labyrinth Access. What if the reason they can access the 8th floor directly is because they found a cooresponding location in the real world that matches an area on the 8th floor, and theres a Stone there that acts as the Focal point for a Portal Access. Meaning, that these stones in the 5th floor Mirror realm could also have matching locations outside the walls that can be used to access the Labyrinth at those locations directly. Or maybe the stones are 1 way, and the stones inside the Labyrinth take you to the real location outside the walls, and if there are stones outside the walls, they take you to a matching location in the Labyrinth. Gavis may be the only one who truly knows how that all works tbh, given he seemingly gave Noark their access.
But also, the second point for these chapters i brought up. The hut. They found the Orb of Fire in the Basement of this burnt Hut. and the Diary they found contained words from the ancient Language, and specifically, theres one line that, after the Basement arc, has a much greater Potential meaning
[If the world hasn’t been destroyed by the witch’s hand and someday someone finds this place, please use the item in the basement to save the world.]
This line seems to have been written from the perspective of someone of the Empire, who was fed the propaganda about the Witch. BUT we then must ask why their diary is in the Labyrinth. Could these 3 mentioned in that diary entry have been more souls who were “redeemed” by the witch, and were supposed to be given a 2nd chance, like Marx, like the Director, like the Land of Dawn was Supposed to seemingly do. But the inclusion of this specific line feels…. Very Intentional. The World was not destroyed by the Witch, and there IS a basement in the Labyrinth, the Labyrinth includes that book every time by default, its part of it. Its Intentional. Which to me. Says that there Must be something hidden in the Basement Floors that can truly save the World, potentially it needs the Orb of Fire from the Hut’s basement to function properly as well. Its a Bound Item, Bound to Bjorn’s soul. What if thats a part of one of the conditions Bjorn Fulfilled? To have the orb of Fire. The Potential key to Something in the Basement, that can save the World.
so realizing something, even though Bjorn himself Cant enter the Basement, He DOES still have permanent access and it implies the ability to open the portal at the portal stone on F1 that leads to BF1 without the Star, Moon, and Sun fragments, if Bjorn can still open that doorway but not enter himself, then he Could allow his allies to go on an expedition to the basement without him in theory.
Now, Do i think Bjorn would allow such a thing? honestly No. I dont. But it is worth noting that this is potentially something Bjorn could do. If nothing else, he could use it to potentially gain some sort of information if those he sends returns, or he figures out a communication method besides the community.
Also another thing to discuss. Do we think Recardo is the Trigger for a Total Basement Floor Reset? From the Sounds of what the Chief described, the waves, and large scale event of Recardo has been seen by him before, enough times that he can recognize the sounds and also know the places Not to be, which comes from experience.
Now, some mentioned that they thought Recardo arriving was triggered by the arrival of explorers, and we cant still wholey discount that, but it could also be a timed event as well in addition to being a trigger on explorers.
If Recardo comes out say, once a year, and on trigger, goes on a rampage, in a similar way to how the rainy season is Monthly and is tied to the running of the Labyrinth, could recardo be Yearly or some other amount of time and be tied to the running of the Basement?
Alternate method of looking at a similar idea is that Recardo is triggered on a timed basis after At least One explorer arrives on the Floor, either from legit means, or through dimensional collapse, and will then come out after a certain amount of time. OR, like the Portal stone, Recardo also comes out when Dimensional Collapse happens, and does as he was seemingly doing this chapter, and acts as a reset function at that point in time.
This could be the event that allows the Rift Archive access to resurface, and other similar such things for example
Interesting topic… this actually sparked a possible connection for me:I find it quite curious that rainy season coincides with each month in Raphdonia, and Recardo coincides with a year. Seeing as the King was the one who revolutionized the calendar to align more closely with the Labyrinth – initially I took this innocently, but recent knowledge makes me look at it suspiciouslyIn terms of trigger, I do think it is similar to Dreadfear's trigger (where 5 ppl must be gathered after the 7th day). Maybe like you said, he is triggered when an explorer enters the basement, but regardless of the method. That’s my hypothesis anyway. The chief may have partially experienced him – I hope Bjorn asks him about it if they meet in the city

no we did not, thats what the qualification that the Director gave Bjorn was for, it allowed the portal to be opened without dimensional collapse, The Chief mentioned that the only way He knew the portal could open was Dimensional collapse, which implies its not the normal and official way, and based on what the Director said, the qualification was what was needed, or maybe even just that 15% acheivement was all he needed honestly, with its access grant, he should be able to leave, even if he cant come back due to the pact for now

I always thought that, while Baek Hoo DOES use Noark, hes not a true part of Noark, Baek Hoo is kind of his own force independantly, similar to how Bjorn has created his own force and coopted some influence, Baek Hoo has coopted fear to try and gain influence in his own fucked up way
if lee baek ho and his party didnt show up i dont believe the noark army could ever take over such a important part of the city the place where the portal is located they would need the heavier hitters like the rune scholar
i mean, there is a significant portion of the Royal force in the basement as one small caveat, not to mention the lack of several powerful adventurers, and potentially unknown elements from beyond the walls, i wouldnt say its Impossible for Noark to take several districts, depending on the tactics used, even without Baek Ho and Co. Maybe some of his party would help even if he wouldnt also, or maybe he will help in exchange for something, similar to Bjorn in some sense, helping, but only doing so for his own ends, not to truly help Noark with theirs. Since for Baek Hoo, his ultimate goal is returning home, and he feels he needs to rebel to do so from what he’s mentioned, thus, we can assume he would have aligned goals with Noark in that sense, but would likely still want to exploit them for his help that he would give anyway. So Noark may be taking some form of Loss if they enlisted his help

a war of attrition wont work there going against a kingdom that allowed them to live and has thousands of years of history they would need strong people to just out right beat them in one big war because the kingdom will always recover faster there vaults are filled with all types of essences and even numbered items they can just give out as rewards like noark and orcules has to just fight and win in one battle because the kingdom will always rebuild faster also the other side has no priest that can heal

Meanwhile, Noark can hold down Ravigion, prevent explorers from entering the Labyrinth, and hold the lay ppl and explorers hostage. If the kingdom abandons them, bang – new potential allies. Then if noark commandeers Gnome Tree, and the kingdom is cut off from livestock, produce, and the like, maybe some nobles might switch sides.It’s a tall order, but noark might just have the capabilities to pull of something like this, with their top tier members and orcules, summoning abilities, and their ability to keep the core of the royal army focused on protecting the King
Don’t knock Noark, don’t forget they have the Orcules ppl with them, and they are of the most troublesome ppl to deal with. Also, I agree wish Ashlen, it’s possible this is the beginning of the invasion – maybe they started with Ravigion? I think this is more likely, since it would be much more difficult to take over Carnon, or even Commelby, with all the noble-affiliated knights stationed there. Ravigion has lay ppl and explorers, of which generally can be dealt with more easily
bro i dont know about orcules bjorn and lee baek ho both exposed them as frauds lee baek ho clapped up the leader of orcules and hes a evil spirit also showing that its level to the game and was even able to talk to bjorn in the spirit realm then come back and still win also bjorn beat the dog shit out of the dragon dude who was also apart of orcules and something else that was revealed was the assassins of the royal army and that was one troop we know about they have special metals and items and are a super force so what else is hidden
yea but lee baek ho is still apart of there force and i believe that he will be there with his own party but hes about to meet bjorn and bjorn is about to roll them considering the fact he can just walk past the stronger members and kill the weaker ones
well the city is split into sectors remember, so it may just just be this District thats been taken, and tbh that would make sense if Noark has managed to take over specific sections, since raphdonia is like the size of multiple cities, and if i remember correct, each district is roughly medieval city sized
theres alot of potential options i think, maybe if Bjorn meets the Witch somehow again, maybe gavis can help, maybe there will be some achievement that can reverse the pact, it could be that Bjorn meets another admin with higher clearance than the Director who can supersede the pact, im excited to see what route things take eventually.Also…. The Lord of Records, Ricky Recardio. My mouth is watering just thinking about his drops. Does the pact keep him from physically entering or does it just summon this guy the moment he enters? It would be super convenient if it was the latter so he could just kill him later after powering up.

Also Blue you were right on this being the Floor Lord, its mentioned that the ocean and water was receding as he started coming out, so i wonder if that could mean Recardo is massive and maybe lives at the bottom of the deep hole under the rainbow, and when he comes out, all the water rushes into the now empty pit. We didnt actually get a description of Recardo, other then mentions of him seemingly causing Earthquakes and water displacement, which implies a massive massive creature. Im super curious to see what Recardo actually looks like, and also if they may one day get the Record Lord’s Essence, and I wonder what abilities that it may hold.
Hmm, you might be onto something, but I would add something. The direction is Rock Island, IIRC that was the island where they appeared after entering B1. And, coincidentally, didn't the village chief said it was the only island where you couldn't hide (there was no safe zone)?That could mean two things.1. Ricardo comes from the labyrinth after it closes and lands on Rock Island, or2. Ricardo is Rock Island itself, and the phenomenon of the sea receding could mean what you said, except focused on Rock Island.

he IS the Lord of Records, what if one of the active abilites is something like [Record] – Once you have seen an active ability used, you can Record it and then obtain it for a set time, and use it with a 50% increase in Resource consumption.Which would basically allow someone to use almost ANY ability in theory, and would also align with a powerful Floor Lord skill along with being Well worth the risk id say.Also I do agree that Rock Island being Recardo is a very fun theory,Another fun theory i thought of in response, what if Rock Island is some kind of Turtle Monster, while Recardo is a Creature from the Deep Pit, and when Recardo arrives, Rock island Monster and Recardo fight, in a never ending duel of sorts. Which could be another reason the earthquakes and water recession are so extreme, as its not 1 massive monster…. if it was something like that, there would be lots of limitations i imagine, maybe each recorded skill has a different amount of time it can be used, maybe the resoures needed are alot more than even that extra 50% i mentioned, maybe copying an ability Seals another random ability until the Record is deleted as a balance method, to ensure that only a specific number of abilities are using at a given time, in line with the Soul level, or maybe only a few could be Recorded at any given time, while still insanely OP, im sure whatever the actual abilities end up being, there will be some balance to their extreme power. Like the Floor Lord Essence erwin has gives literally Infinite Mana for a short time basically, thats already Absurd, and it seems like the Lord of Silence just cancels ALL essence abilities, so the Floor Lord’s we know about DO have insane and powerful abilities, so Recardo, who seems to be an immense power, greater than any Floor Lord previously shown or implied, should have a coorespondingly powerful ability, and then you must also Ask.What does Defeating Recardo Unlock. The First Defeat of things has tended to give some unlock, and i wouldnt be surprised if Beating Recardo for the first time puts Bjorn on the Stone of Honor again. but then what does it actually give as a reward or an unlock. I wouldnt be surprised if more Secret Numbers came out, or if access to some other secret zone is unlocked. And also. Does Recardo have a True Boss Fight like Dreadfear did? and what is the the History behind Recardo that likely happened in the days of the Empire

im curious how the Pact and the achievement granting permanent Access interact, and if one potentially overides the other? Since Bjorn DID get the achievement of 15% completion of the archives, and i imagine the Pact supersedes that, but im still super curious how the exact interaction works. Also if theres a 15% completion, then i imagine there could be rewards for 30, 50, or 100% maybe, and if so, what do yall think those rewards may be?
I feel like the 100% one will be the access to Basement F2, while a 30% or 50% one could maybe be instant access to Rainbow island? since we know its access is timing restricted, so gaining the ability to enter any time would be a pretty powerful buff

I feel like now that we’ve left the basement and entered the noark war, we may have a while before we focus back on the basement again. There’s tons to catch up on in Raphdonia, and also without the Ghostbusters community, there’s going to be a need for more exposition through experiences and visits to other characters/areas.We have to figure out the noark invasion, and why they’re invading, touch base with the sanctuary that’s been missing their chief for about a year, update melbes on their commission after fighting so hard for their support of the clan, report to the royal family of the basement expedition and connect with the chief. Maybe even meet the king? Who knows

So theory time. It seems Noark has successfully invaded in the time that the spirits server closed 4-5 months ago. They likely took over the town spawn points so far. They should be able to still enter the labyrinth through the castle portal though. Interested to see what the village Chief has been up too.
They are likely going to have to fight their way to the castle. Either that or they capture and interrogate the Noark members for info.
I mentioned that the War was brought up in the community before it closed and wasnt super explored in what we were given, so im not surprsied that the War has reached the interior of the city, and it would also explain why theres been absolutely No One coming down to the Basement, or if there was any who came down, Recardo likely will be ending them given they spawn at Rock Island which is seemingly the centerpointAnyways though, I wonder when the Chief will come to find Bjorn to reclaim Karui’s Heart, given the war, he may not be able to freely come and grab it.I imagine youre right about the Interrogation also, Bjorn is for sure going to capture several of these people, beat them for info, and likely head to the nearest city defense point. Hopefully theres someone higher up in the chain of command whereever he ends up that can tell us whats been happening.
I wonder how they’re going to be able to erase their old essences with Noark in the way; I still doubt they’re prepared for Bjorn’s power level though.

all the more reason i have No Doubt that Bjorn will find a way to return and bring Hamsiki out, i mentioned it before but i really think there must be a way that Bjorn can return, and if the chief could swap bodies, maybe they could swap hamsiki into another form and take him out too?
My theory is it’ll be mentioned at the endgame, where Bjorn gets to “make a wish” or something when he opens the gate, he’ll have all the evil spirits return to their worlds, but has himself reborn in this one. New body, no pact, etc.
Noark vs Raphophnia war broke out. Noark seems to be winning this far. Bjorn will surely return to retrieve Hamsiki, demolish the Floor Director and to show some shit into the Floor Lord's face. There is still unfinished stuff.
Lazy story writing, overall, making Bjorn just leave like that. Probably happened because the author has gotten himself too far into the Basement Floor Arc without any idea how it gonna end.
I agree. But he got too powerful too quick so he had to end it sooner than later. Right now Bjorn is probably one of the strongest characters that exist. Don’t forget that he has a ”meta” build that alot of people don’t know about. He has the best knowledge about the game than anyone else. You can stack lvl 1 essences and still end up worse than Bjorn thanks to syngergy. Imagine going against an opponent that knows all your weaknesses and how to beat you. Now imagine that guy being a powerhouse, so your fucked. Thats Bjorn right now

Alternate method of looking at a similar idea is that Recardo is triggered on a timed basis after At least One explorer arrives on the Floor, either from legit means, or through dimensional collapse, and will then come out after a certain amount of time. OR, like the Portal stone, Recardo also comes out when Dimensional Collapse happens, and does as he was seemingly doing this chapter, and acts as a reset function at that point in time.
This could be the event that allows the Rift Archive access to resurface, and other similar such things for example

The Lord of Records, Ricky Recardio. My mouth is watering just thinking about his drops. Does the pact keep him from physically entering or does it just summon this guy the moment he enters? It would be super convenient if it was the latter so he could just kill him later after powering up.

Also Blue you were right on this being the Floor Lord, its mentioned that the ocean and water was receding as he started coming out, so i wonder if that could mean Recardo is massive and maybe lives at the bottom of the deep hole under the rainbow, and when he comes out, all the water rushes into the now empty pit. We didnt actually get a description of Recardo, other then mentions of him seemingly causing Earthquakes and water displacement, which implies a massive massive creature. Im super curious to see what Recardo actually looks like, and also if they may one day get the Record Lord’s Essence, and I wonder what abilities that it may hold.
im curious how the Pact and the achievement granting permanent Access interact, and if one potentially overides the other? Since Bjorn DID get the achievement of 15% completion of the archives, and i imagine the Pact supersedes that, but im still super curious how the exact interaction works. Also if theres a 15% completion, then i imagine there could be rewards for 30, 50, or 100% maybe, and if so, what do yall think those rewards may be?
I feel like the 100% one will be the access to Basement F2, while a 30% or 50% one could maybe be instant access to Rainbow island? since we know its access is timing restricted, so gaining the ability to enter any time would be a pretty powerful buff
Also love that the only time Bjorn’s desired essence drops is when he’s not there and when others set things up. He truly just needs to Delegate those jobs every single time when he wants something specific, his personal luck is so bad
Alright, I hope the author explains how and why is goblin’s ability so OP.
It feels weird to be in the limbo about it for so long, and it's kinda annoying that affects the story so much so I at least want a proper explanation of its origin and why goblin has it.

So theory time. It seems Noark has successfully invaded in the time that the spirits server closed 4-5 months ago. They likely took over the town spawn points so far. They should be able to still enter the labyrinth through the castle portal though. Interested to see what the village Chief has been up too.
They are likely going to have to fight their way to the castle. Either that or they capture and interrogate the Noark members for info.
I wonder how they’re going to be able to erase their old essences with Noark in the way; I still doubt they’re prepared for Bjorn’s power level though.
I imagine if the whole force is able to regroup they could probably recapture Raphdonia on their own.

Noark vs Raphophnia war broke out. Noark seems to be winning this far. Bjorn will surely return to retrieve Hamsiki, demolish the Floor Director and to show some shit into the Floor Lord's face. There is still unfinished stuff.
Lazy story writing, overall, making Bjorn just leave like that. Probably happened because the author has gotten himself too far into the Basement Floor Arc without any idea how it gonna end.
