so we got a line from erwin finally it seems, and its just โMister, are you awakeโ. there really just isnโt going to be any perspective from the rest of the party on the things recently is there? Aynar didnโt comment on it, erwin didnโt comment at all, Amelia hasnโt commented, Misha i would think would be rather upset by this also, considering sheโs actively trying to Woo Bjorn and win his heart back.
It does make sense that Shabin already started having the bifron residents do work honestly, she suddenly got like 8000 people and wasnโt told what to do with them, as she is also understaffed and overworked, logically, what else was she going to do other than have them cook, clean, learn, and do construction work. And now with the Trading company, the bifron residents can be trained as Merchants and clerics and take on that role for him. The barbarians are going to built their building knowledge and probably reach similar levels to the dwarves one day in the farther future. but for now will be reliant on them. But this does finally give Bjorn a more proper In with the entirety of the Dwarves, who are the one main group we havenโt heard or seen much from as a whole for the races. And with their tribe chief possibly being more loyal to the Royal family, i think there is potential for a lot of intrigue with the Dwarves going forward, hopefully we get to see more on that front.
Yeah, donโt think a different POV is in the cards any time soon. Itโs too bad, would have been some neat development for them, and nice insight for us.Shabin is like another Amelia but on the administrative front. She and her team are practically running the sanctuary on their own, with minimal input for the chief.Glad for the partnership with the dwarves, I think theyโll have a ton more success during the competition with their combined strengths. Dwarves, barbarians, and human coalition – the first of its kind. Bjorn doesnโt even need marriage to unite the races.I wonder, are the bifron refugees allowed to learn magic? I feel like if they could, thatโs another level of assets for house Jandel
i mean, i cant imagine why they couldnt learn magic, but it may come with restrictions, since the point for preventing them being adventurers seemed to largely being preventing Bjorn from forming a standing army of adventurers and possibly rebelling with that fighting force, and i imagine they could also limit his ability to train them to fight in general, as that could have the same end means. So Mages, given they are so potentially powerful, while not adventurers, they could be considered a fighting force, so if they can become mages, if there are any restrictions, it could be that they are limited in what spells to learn, or where they can use that magic. But we must also remember that its not easy to learn to be a Mage, and currently, the only Mage that Bjorn has consistent connections to is Raven, and while she may be able to teach a few, theres no real way she could teach dozens, much less hundreds, and the other option, the Magic tower, isnโt on the best terms with Bjorn so they are not a great option for gaining instruction for the bifron residents in regards to magic. So even if they are allowed to learn, the number of people who may be able to is potentially very very very low. but even if they are only able to train like, 3 mages, to focus on construction and other niche and specific tasks, then potentially they could become extremely useful for Bjornโs goals.Though on a similar note to Magic, we also cant forget Alchemy. If the residents of Bifron could be taught Alchemy, that could be a major game changer. We dont really know how potions are made, but if Bjorn can develop an in sanctuary potion production line, that could allow even MORE barbarians to survive, and grow, along with lessening his own potion costs, and making them alot of money. Not to mention whatever new alchemical discoveries they can possibly make as Bjorn gains access to specific and rare materials by exploring
also, another thought, could the residents of Bifron join the clergy and become Priest of House Jandel or has it been stated that priests canโt work directly for a Noble house. If thats allowed, then this could be how Bjorn finally gets priests on his side, but also it may not be possible based on the restrictions placed on them.
Donโt forget Versil, and also the Iron Sorcerer who Bjorn is on good terms with, plus thereโs also, Reben Arpegan, the head of the magic school Bjorn interacted with when Karnon was on fire. Though iโm sure theyll all be pretty busy, but our boy Bjorn has friends in high places even in the magic circles. Iโm sure someone can pull some strings somehowBut yes your point stands
