I guess Bjorn is so big now, no one cares that he uses abilities in public anymore. Tbf, there’s no more bifron to send him to, so consequences are limited (aside from taking away his privileges). Must be due to his super high fame stat

That would be highly abusable even by normies. That would be the #1 sought after skill by nobility. No one is more famous than the king for instance. It doesn't even require synergy to be over powered. We don't even know where skills or xp come from though. Are they from the gods or from humans to combat them? Maybe they came to existence with the dungeon. If God created the system, then it makes sense not allow mortals the power to usurp their authority. If mortals did it, was it too fight against the gods? Maybe that's the whole point of what the witch was doing. “Cursing” humans with the ability to rebel against gods.
For sure, some nobles would pay fortune for such a skill if it were known to them.Interesting idea about the Witch granting the ability to defy the gods. It would also lend reason for why the church factions were so opposed to her in the first place (which is still a bit of a mystery in the current lore).I once had this idea that ancient magic had the ability to control some fundamental concepts: time, space, and reality (not infinity stones). We’ve seen space magic through teleportation and dimensional magic, and possibly time magic through the fragment of records – could explorer abilities and similar powers be a result of reality magic? We technically didn’t see any ability users during our blast to the past, just monsters, clergy, and mages. It’s likely a stretch, but a neat little “what if”.
I have to be honest, I understand why some of you are understandably upset. especially after such an epic arc inside the hidden dungeon and considering this is a much lighter and a bit chaotic writing in some terms. But.. maybe I am just a weird fanboy but I still like reading every update regardless how much is going on. Yes ofc. Id love to see some big love triangles with actual advances, smashing the noark scum and dealing with the Corpseclown, re-entering the hidden archive after removing the restriction, Bjorn facing the king but in all honesty.. this is fine. Not every chapter can be that big moment where he leads the people through floor one barely escaping only to then face another wall on the next floor and some important characters to the plot dies. Sometimes, a little side-story aint too bad. And I also think, this is all a set up AND there will be something going on with the trapped Noark guys that will reignite the original spark in the next week I presume.
In short, I like the story and even if it sounds selfish – YO GUYS. CHILL. I’m reading the comments to discuss this and not to be depressed 😀

but.. didn’t I start with “even if it sounds selfish” and ended with a smiley face suggesting I don’t take it too seriously? I feel like that’s the opposite of hubris (had to google that word xd). Don’t get me wrong, yes reading some of the messages makes me feel a bit “oh no, is todays chapter really that bad?” but everyone can experess their opinion, I don’t mind that at all. But it still makes me feel a bit sour but thats just something I have to get over with.Oh and you are right, this doesnt only feel like filler, this is probably filler haha. Unless something has to happen in that part of the story that needs this background
The are much better ways of ending sentences than with a smiley face. Some people see that as passive aggressive so if you want to come off as less serious it's better to use something else instead 8====D ~~~
I think you made valid points that I can agree with that didn't deserve to be attacked by trying to spin it as you being ”hubris” when that's very ironic that they even used that. (Must be their word of the day jk :P)Besides it's nice to read a positive comment like this to balance out the all unhappy comments about the filler we're having right now, which will probably be relevant later when he's starts bit by bit taking over the city and gets more control
Really a shame how stale this has gotten, I miss constantly refreshing for updates and being excited for the next chapter each day, now it feels like a chore just to get through the slop that has been these past few weeks :/
I think I'm going to need to take a break for a bit. The pacing is all off again and it feels like the author is trying to get control of his story. I really hope this picks back up again. I really liked this novel.
I recommend that as well. Some of you have down voted me in the past for making such a comment but it honestly helps keep the story alive and nothing feels better than reading a montage of chapters.
