Just thought about it but what if he uses restrained wish on his corrupted essence. I mean, in theory it would atleast give him a preview of the essence (possibly corrupted) replacement would be. Or Is it specific to that essence ultimately removing the corruption altogether….hmmmm
Good question. Granted there’s no restriction on getting the original essence again after switching it with the wish, I’d opt to get another green Bayon essence to get transcendence back after switching.Also granted that corruption doesnt prevent the wish.
Jun really takes me back… Ice Rock is one of my favorite arcs, and the way he went left me with goosebumps.
Tbh though, going back, there really were some great self-sacrifices in the story… Jun, Dwalkie, Rotmiller… even Aynar (though it was temporary), Silliot, and Versyl (the first time)
For those that don't totally remember (like me), the Restrained Wish is the item Bjorn used to replace his Vampire essence with the Ogre essence. It lets you pick one of your essences and swap with with one of a few random options of the same tier, which is why he's not sure how it would interact with his custom B1 essence that doesn't have a tier technically.
It's limited for essence ‘til lev 4? And when it's à gardian essence or one very rare you've got one more level (that's why he could get an ogre lvl 3 essence with a lvl 5 one)
Did the author explained at any point what happened to the corrupted essences he got from the level 1 snake? Cause it seems that bjorn build just functions normaly…
It was his Bayon/Bion essence that got corrupted so his Transcendence skill is locked for 120 Labyrinth days. It'll either benefit bjorn or become ruined and it's sealed to him so he can't remove it after the corruption is over.
Jun is the paladin that died in Ice Rock when the marquis sent them on a suicide mission to break the radio tower. He died fighting the Noark goons and the rose knights
It was arguably the most baddest self-sacrifice in the story thus far. And this is coming from both a Dwalkie and Rotmiller fanThat mission was likely his death sentence/chance at redemption for some of the shadowy work he did before as an inquisitor. It's likely that might be a source of disdain the priestess has for him… that or maybe they have other kinds of history
